*Arielle's P.O.V*
I quickly sat down on the Cullen's table with a straw in hand and looked at them seriously.
"Shush and watch," I ignored the burning sensation in my eyes as I panicked about what they would think and used my hand and the bolt to lift the straw, before dropping it and blowing the now melted straw. I grabbed a tissue quickly and caught the blood drip before looking up at them.
I was scared, but over the time I have lived in Forks now, I trusted them. I didn't know why, but I did. I looked between them all quickly, rubbing my eyes at the burning again.
"Ow," I looked up blinking for a bit before finally catching Bella's gaze.
She was staring at the liquid straw on the table. However not with fear like I had thought, with relief.
"Why are you relieved?" I asked her confused tilting my head.
Jasper looked at Edward and they nodded to each other before resting their hands on the table.
"When did you know you could do this?" Edward asked calmly.
"You know when I ran out in Maths? Then," I sighed, fiddling with my fingers. "Why are you all calm?" I asked frowning.
"Well, we are you friends, and it would be unfair to freak out on you when are scared enough," Jasper smiled.
"Thank you," I smiled. "I have an idea though. It's whenever I feel a strong emotion and my eyes burn before hand. I think it's linked to emotions," I frowned.
"We have a theory too. When the van came, you were scared before you even realized what happened. Maybe you can feel others emotions as well," Jasper looked at me softly.
"How do you know what I felt?" I asked curiously.
"You can tell a lot by facial expressions," he smiled as Emmett snorted. "I still need to beat your ass at Call of Duty, Dwarf."
"Good luck," I folded my arms challenging him.
"After school, you and me, 1v1," he smirked.
"Oh your on, BFG," I smirked as Jasper handed me his apple. "Thanks Jas," I smiled taking a bite.
The bell rang and I couldn't help the groan as I banged my head on the table and dragged my chair out.
"Actually kill me now," I grumbled swinging my bag over my shoulder.
"Not now, but I will in COD," Emmett grinned before striding past me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Take that you ape hoe," I grinned, my eyes glued to the screen in front of me as I sat with my legs crossed, hunched over the controller.
"The fuck!? You actual hacker!" Emmett shouted, as he respawned.
"You know, moving your entire body with the controller doesn't change the gameplay," I snickered as Emmett tilted sideways with the controller.
"Shut it Swan," he grumbled.
I shot the last bullet of the game and jumped up in glee at the leaderboard.
"Take that you boulder!" I jumped hugging the controller to my chest.
"Cheater," Emmett muttered walking past me to Jasper as he dropped the controller in his hand.
"Hehe..." I snickered sitting back down with my knees tucked to my chest as Jasper joined the lobby. "Get ready Jas," I chuckled as the match began.

Esme smiled fondly at Arielle from the kitchen and shook her head. Edward wrapped his arm around my waist moving his head down to my level.
"She looks happy," he spoke slowly turning me to face him.
"She is. She rarely ever was back at Arizona," I shook my head looking down before looking back up at Edward's confused eyes.
"Why?"
"My mom. Uh. Wasn't the best. Whenever Arielle walked in the room, mom would scream insults upon insults. Things ranging from 'you weren't wanted' to 'why did I bring you with me' to just plain 'ew'. She got scared to be in the same room as her, and visited Jake and Charlie frequently. Then she wasn't as scared and then mom stopped her from seeing them. Arielle went back to being the frightened girl and now she's here. I just watched. I knew it was wrong, but I did nothing. She has to take anxiety pills because of it! God, I wish I stood up for her," I told him.
"She's here now, and that's all that matters. Esme already loves her so maybe a new mother figure will be nice for her," Edward smiled as she jumped up in joy.
"Suck it Jasper!" She shouted running in jumping like a child in a playground. "I beat them both," she grinned doing a little happy dance.
Her grin slid into a frown as her eyes watered and faded into a purple.
"Why is everyone sad? It's depressing," she held her hand on her chest pulling the fabric and clutching it.
"Because they feel sorry for Emmett losing," Jasper smirked earning a smack from said Cullen.
She looked between us all cautiously. Her hand fell to her side as her eyes faded back to brown. I felt terrible for her for so many reasons. How mom treated her, how her older sister did nothing to protect her from her, how she was gifted with something that was uncontrollable. I felt disgusted at how mom treated her and heartbroken than no-one helped her.
Her hand jolted to her chest, her eyes changing quickly to purple making tears fall down her face.
"Whoever it is, I'm so sorry you feel like this," as those words left her mouth, I felt numb.
The best way to describe it was numb. I couldn't feel a single emotion, and it all made sense after that. Either Jasper manipulated my emotions, or Arielle did something.
She gasped, stumbling back into Jasper's arms as her eyes closed, her nose bleeding. My emotions flooded back when I realised it was her doing.
