Saturday Morning
8:30 AMTori got out of bed for the second time, careful not to wake Sampson or André, and grabbed her phone. It had been a couple of days since André found out about what happened to Abiah. And after countless hours of assurance and talks, Abiah convinced him to go back to his bed and leave the situation alone. There was no more evidence and she honestly wasn't trying to go public, which meant André had to back down.
The singer flipped the light switch of the bathroom as a mild cramping hit her uterus. She took a look in the mirror and ran her hand over her not so flat stomach. "We'll see you again one day," Tori whispered, mentally preparing herself to expel her second miscarriage.
As she went to the bathroom, she noticed that there was no bleeding, which normally came right after her cramps the morning of her period...which was supposed to be yesterday. Since she was technically experiencing a miscarriage she started to get concerned and decided to wake her husband. She saw how going at something alone went and didn't want that to happen again. "Baby!" Tori called as she washed her hands. She waited a minute hearing him rustle around then come around the corner.
"What's up?" He asked, rubbing his eyes and grabbing a shirt from the shelf of the doorless walk-in closet by the bathroom entrance. Tori leaned against the counter and folded her arms.
"I'm thinking that I'm going to have to call the doctor," Tori sighed. André sat on the edge of the tub with his arms folded as well. "I'm still nauseous and I'm cramping, but this is day 8 of no bleeding or signs that I'm going to be bleeding soon," she explained. André thought about his day and decided to just cancel everything if he had to.
"Okay. Are you going to call now? Make sure you can get a good time?" André asked. Tori nodded, pulling her phone from her shorts pocket. The nervous husband watched his wife make an OB appointment for 10 and got up to grab his own phone. Once back, André saw Tori wrapped in herself, hand over her mouth, in tears. "Baby, what's wrong? What's wrong? What'd they say?" He rushed. Tori picked up her head, wiping a few tears.
"They said they were most likely going to have to go in and remove the baby. They think that it already embedded itself in my uterine wall and I'm not going be able to do this naturally," Tori cried. It was her worst fear all over again. It was bad enough that she'd lost another baby, now she was going to have to get them ripped away too.
"Hey, I'll be right there holding your hand. You don't have to do this alone. It'll be you and me," André coddled, pulling Tori into his chest. He pushed back his own tears, hating the feeling of losing a child, but hated more that this wasn't the first time Tori had to go through it.
9:15 AM
Tori came down the stairs with Sampson on her hip and André not too far behind to see Irie and Abiah eating cereal at the table and Jairus eating a Gogurt on the couch. "Morning, guys," Tori forcibly smiled, setting Sampson in his highchair, only for him to start crying and be taken right back out. He was still sick, so all he wanted was to be held by Tori. "Okay, buddy. Mommy's sorry," Tori giggled, wiping the baby's tear stained face. "Irie, I have an appointment at 10, that dad and I are leaving for soon. You're gonna be in charge of those two, since I clearly can't leave this one," Tori sighed. Irie and Abiah shared a look before the eldest Murillo child nodded.
"What is this appointment for?" Irie snooped. Tori almost let it slip, but she shook her head with a smile.
"Nothing crazy," Tori vaguely replied causing her kids to roll their eyes.
"Yeah, that's what you said before we got Jairus," Abiah smirked.
"And Sammy," Jairus added.
"Yeah, I thought we were capping the kid count at 4," Irie said. Tori waved the kids off as André packed the diaper bag.
