2:30 PM
Tori laid on her couch getting some emails done, waiting for André and Jairus to get back. Irie has moved to her bed where she and Abiah had bed for over an hour. And Sampson was still down for his nap. While working, Tori would get a few Braxton Hicks contractions, but nothing too overwhelming, just uncomfortable. "Daddy, I made that! Don't lie!" Jairus called, pulling his backpack higher into his back as they came in the house.
"If you say so, bud," André replied, slyly shaking his head. Jairus turned the corner, and kicked off his cleats before seeing his mother.
"Mommy! I did so good today! I even scored two goals, just for you and the baby!" Jairus smiled, taking his things to the balcony to air out, before getting them washed.
"Good job. It sounds like you had fun at practice," Tori smiled. Jairus nodded, but his smile quickly diminished.
"Yeah, but tell her what else you did," André prompted, dropping his keys in the dish and grabbing a banana. Jairs slowly moved towards his mother on the couch with his head hung and his hands behind his back.
"I got into a fight with Jerry," he mumbled.
"He made the kid bleed," André insightful added, sitting at the kitchen table. Tori was highly confused, knowing that those actions were out of character for her son.
"Jai, why would you do that?" She asked, watching her son on the coffee table before her.
"Because, Jerry said that his brother heard that Biah and her teacher did grown up stuff! And that she was a hoe! I don't even know what that means! But, I told him it wasn't true and he pushed me, so I hit him. I didn't mean to make him bleed, but he was saying bad things about Biah!" Jairus explained. Tori shut her laptop and held her arms out for her son.
"Look, Jai. I know that you want to stand up for your sister, but we can't fight people. It's not what God would want. And as far as Abiah and her teacher..." Tori trailed off not wanting to lie to him.
"Babe," André called as if to say are you sure. Tori nodded with took a deep breath.
"Abiah's teacher did something bad to her. It is not the same as saying she did grown up stuff with her teacher, because he forced her to," Tori lightly explained. Jairus furrowed his eyebrows knowing what grown up stuff meant, but not understanding why he did that.
"So, is that why Biah's baby doesn't have a dad?" Jairus asked. Tori nodded.
"Yeah. Her baby isn't like this one. Daddy and I made this one together, willingly," she said, causing André to choke a bit, because willingly was a stretch. Tori glared at her husband for second, before fixing her attitude and coming back. "And Biah's baby was made out of force. Does that make sense?" Tori asked. Jairus nodded.
"That's like... ummm... rape!" He simplified. Tori was shocked to hear that word come out of her child's mouth.
"How do you know what that word means?" Tori asked. Jairus shrugged.
"My teacher told us about it one day, because she gave us special whistles for when someone tries to touch our private parts. But, I lost mine," Jairus explained.
Sounds about right. Tori thought, knowing her seven year old couldn't keep anything longer than a week. "Well, then yes. That is exactly what happened to Biah," Tori replied. Jairus laid his head on his mother's shoulder, playing with her necklace.
"Mommy, why would he do that? She's just a teenager," Jairus asked. André could see that this conversation was starting to take a toll on Tori as she combated her tears.
