A soft knock came to the door, before Abiah poked her head in. "Can I come in?" She sheepishly asked, watching her sister lift her hand and look between she and her mother."Sure,"

Tori started to get up, but Irie's grip only tightened. "Please stay," Irie whispered. Abiah shut the door behind herself and sat at the foot of her sisters bed.
"Irie, were you scared, when you found out you were pregnant?" Abiah asked. Tori looked rough her daughter, who had finally let her arm go and pecked her head.
"You two talk. I'll go calm daddy down," she said, grabbing her bag and leaving them alone.
"I— I was. But not for the reason you are," Irie started as Abiah moved a bit closer. "I was scared that mommy and daddy would hate me. I was sure that I would be a good mother and that I could care for my baby. But I made the decision I did because I was afraid, that I would get kicked out or disowned. I didn't get pregnant under the normal circumstances, so I felt like they wouldn't understand," she answered. Abiah nodded and placed a hand on her still flat stomach.
"I feel like... well, I don't. I'm scared that I'll mess this baby up. I'm only 14. And clearly I can raise this baby. Mommy is supporting me and daddy...well... he didn't really have a choice. But, am I ready for that?" Abiah asked, dropping her hand. "I feel like I have a connection with this baby, but I don't know," Abiah mumbled. Irie held open her arms and allowed her sister fall into her.
"You may not be ready, but you could be. Just give it some time, okay. Don't make the same decision I made unless you are prepared for all of the consequences," Irie said, before pecking her sisters head. "We can raise this baby, if that's what you want," she declared, causing Abiah to smile a bit. The fact that her sister had her back only boosted Abiah's confidence.

Tori and André stood by the vending machines off the secluded hall of the empty waiting room. They could see Jairus and Sampson playing while not being in earshot. "I get that your father is dying, but something has to give! You cannot treat our daughter like an outcast for a few bad decisions. Remember who you were and where you came from," Tori said placing her drinkers over André's tattoo cover scar. "So, what's really going on," the concerned wife asked. André folded his arms and looked away, but Tori pulled his face back to her. "You will hash this out, right here. Right now. I may have needed you back then, but I damn sure don't now. I will raise this family on my own if my husband is going to continue to take his anger out on our kids. Don't test me," Tori threatened. André dropped his glare and looked to his wife's eyes. They were tired, but serious.
"Fine," right then and there, André poured out his feelings from that moment, dating back to when they thought they lost the baby and Tori listened. They stood there for fifteen minutes as André broke down and finally gave all of his worries to God.

Abiah is 11 weeks & Tori is 18 WeeksSaturday— October 25th
12:32 PMIrie napped on the couch with Busker, still in recovery mode, Abiah sat at the table doing her bible study for her fathers class, Jairus colored, and Sampson stood by Abiah eating his snacks. The house was fine, for the most part, but the parents were missing.
Everyone tended to their activities quietly, unlit a gasp shook the siblings and they looked to the couch. "Jai! Go get her meds!" Abiah commanded, moving from her seat around Sampson. "Irie are you okay? Is it your pain? Do you need another pillow?" She asked, ready to sprint to her sister bedroom. Irie shook her head and slowly sat up.
