(Y/n) = your name
(L/n) = last name

For starters my name is (Y/n) and I belong to the noble household (L/n). I had lived the life of luxury ever sense I was born without a choice of what I wanted to do. I had always hated these rules but I abided by most trying to be somewhat respectable. I had the gifts of magic but also I had trained myself in secret at the arts of war and battle. I often ignored my magic unless it was using it on an animal like a snake for jewelry. I often wore dark red and silver for an accent color around my robes. I had little choice in the matter but I still complied with my family knowing it was right. I had been introduced to many men in my time wanting my hand in marriage but I rejected all knowing it would end the little freedom I had left. Tonight was the night of the ball in the winter palace where I was to meet many more people of the higher family including people from the newish inquisition. I hated the thought of having to dance with more rude men who only wanted me for my body or money. I had wished not to go many times but still I chose to represent my family as I was going along with my older brother. I put on a fancy dress I had gotten the day before and grabbed my masquerade mask walking out my room and into the large hallway. I descended the stairs as my dress flowed down behind me almost to perfectly falling past my feet when I stood in front of the door. My brother walked out behind me with his mask already on and whispered "try to relax it's just a party." I sighed knowing he was right before walking outside and climbing into the carriage that started down the streets to the palace. It stopped at the gaits as I got out and walked inside with my brother who instantly left me to find some other girls to talk with. Not that this was a surprise to me so I didn't say much as I walked over to a dark corner trying to be unnoticed. I looked at everyone talking until I saw a few people walk inside who I guessed were from the Inquisition. Their was at least ten ranging from dwarf to qunari who got talked out quickly. I ignored them for a wile just holding a drink in my hand enjoying watching before someone caught my eye. She was talking with a different man with blonde hair until she saw me walking over calmly. She gasped and said "Oh my gosh (Y/n)!" It was Liliana I had only ever met her once but we had to spend the day together wile our parents talked about arrangements. The man moved and faced me letting me see him clearly, he was surprisingly handsome with his blond hair and small stubble. He had a few scars on his face near his lip and dark brown eyes giving him a little more rugged look. I walked up to Liliana who was smiling happily before saying "Long time no see Liliana." She nodded saying "Oh yes I wanted to write sooner but never got the chance with my job and I am still trying to get new shoes in the Inquisition, so much has happened over the last few years I can't believe your here!" I laughed before saying "I'll trade you shoes right now if you would like I hate these fancy clothes." Her face lit up as she started to laugh saying "Ah you always were never someone to use your riches lightly." I nodded my head agreeing that I often didn't spend much money on dress and such unless it was a special occasion. "Ahem." Me and Liliana and me both looked away and back to the man who said "who's your friend Liliana? I never knew you had other connections outside the Inquisition." She nodded saying "Oh of corse uh (Y/n) meet commander Cullen he runs the inquisitions forces." I smiled at him before turning and leaving before I had to start a different conversation with anyone else. I walked back to the drink table going to grab one before a man walked over to me saying "dance with me miss (L/n)" I sighed before reluctantly agreeing to the man from a different family who wished to dance. He pulled me onto the floor and started to dance with me as I followed along not wanted to do it much before I got swung out into someone new who continued the dance. I hated this life but I knew it was something I was responsible for doing before I finally got away from the dance floor grabbing a drink and walking outside onto a balcony. The air felt nice on my exposed skin as I stood out overlooking the city with the lights, using magic I held my silver snake necklace in my hand muttering a few words turning it into a real snake. I smiled at my work before letting it rest around my neck enjoying its company like normal. I always loved the company of animals when I was tired or bored as they just filled a gap people couldn't for me. My magical abilities let me do many things most people wouldn't try like turning objects into animals and back. I never really used it tho in fear of being caught, right then I her a voice say "That was most impressive miss (L/n)..."
