Part XI

Ok first thing I want to know "what type of magic do you use?" I looked away from him and mumbled "blood magic, that's why I don't often use magic unless if for making an animal." Cullen reached for his sword before I put my hand over him shaking my head. He let go and said "What does your family do for their side jobs like illegal activity." I knew he would ask me that at some point so I just said "My family is in the slave business they have been for a long time tho I don't take part in it. It's. It right elves get treated that was so when I can I choose to help them." He sighed knowing it was probably true before shaking his head trying to clear his thoughts. I saw him and reached my hand up to his cheek lifting his face saying "I told you it wouldn't be wise to question me more as it will just leave you more hurt so I'm sorry Cullen but I need to go." Cullen looked up quickly saying "NO! I mean uh don't leave me- us please." I giggled seeing his cheeks turn red before I said "do you really want me around Cullen I'm basically a red lyrium addicted slave family with drinking issues. He watched me for a minute before saying "yes I know that." I glared at him saying "well thanks Cullen means a lot we agree." He quickly said "No not like that oh makers breath! Look (Y/n) I don't want you to leave the Inquisition we can keep you safe I can keep you safe. I can get around your problems because what I see is an amazing smart young woman who got dragged into this huge mess when the breach opened." I smiled saying "wow Cullen I never knew you thought about me like that it's the most caring thing anyone has ever said to me in years." He smiled in a charming way before looking into my eyes saying "Please stay." I slowly nodded my head "I'll give it one chance only because I think it's a good idea." Cullens smile changed into a grin as he jabbed his legs into the griffin saying "back!" I grabbed onto its neck as it tossed Cullen off who yelled for help. I laughed a bit before letting the griffin grab him out of the air as I said "it's a wild animal Cullen not a horse it doesn't listen to anyone but me so you should probably be more careful." I helped Cullen back up as we flew back to skyhold. When we got there I told Cullen to help me take care of my family problem and end the slave problems. He agreed knowing how to start as he lead me to his room. If I was staying at the inquisition I was going to fix the rest of my life before putting anything else in danger. Me and Cullen worked for hours making a map and a plan for people to infiltrate the house and end the supplies. After long hours me and Cullen fell asleep till morning. I was in his desk chair sleeping as his head as leaning on the arm as he slept on the floor. It was peaceful until the door swung open with the inquisitor saying "Cullen did you get her to stay?" This startled us I said sat up saying "Tunnels!" From the last conversation I had. Cullen cracked his neck before getting up quickly saying "Oh Inquisitor how nice of you to stop by what do you need?" I yawned and got up from the chair looking over our work as Cullen talked to the Inquisitor. "Well I did come to see if you got Miss (Y/n) to stay but apparently I don't need to ask that." Cullen smiled embarrassment at how the situation looked at first before saying "I found out a bunch of stuff and we started to plan an attack on the (L/n)s family. They have been trading slaves for years without anyone knowing." I picked up the map we made showing it to the Inquisitor saying "can you send a spy or so into these tunnels under the estate?" He nodded saying "Your sure about this? And sense your staying we need to have you taking appointments with solas about the lyirum addiction." I sighed nodding my head before stretching my back and grabbing a whisky bottle from Cullens shelf that wasn't used in a wile. I add some shards of red lyrium to it before taking a big gulp saying "this is mine now Cullen." He laughed at me "yeah that's fine I don't drink that much." The Inquisitor punched his arm saying "Don't encourage it! Until we know it's not going to drive her mad don't just allow her to do that to everything she grabs." I tapped my foot saying "uh I'm right here you know." He sighed before leaving the room "I'll send a spy into this house for you (Y/n) they can shut down the operation." I thanked him before facing Cullen saying "thanks for helping it means a lot that I have someone to worry." He nodded as I went to leave before he caught my shoulder saying "maybe you could stop by later to play a game of chess or wicked grace with me? To pass a little of the time without training anyone for battle." I shrugged before turning around saying "maybe I will take up that offer commander or maybe I won't." I winked at him before closing the door leaving him blushing a bit as he got to work. I hated to say it but I was glad I stayed the people here seemed so helpful and polite. It did feel a bit uncomfortable at times tho with everyone doing so much and me just watching but I got over it just thinking about what would happen next.
