Dirty Lies// Cullen x reader

Part III

On the ground I took of running trying to get back to the palace before I saw a Stone lion, waving my hand it turned real and I jumped onto it making it run. I had quickly gotten to the castle on the lion hearing the madness. I had the short chance to changed before I left the house leaving me in a corset and pants what I had under my dress. I looked in the window seeing a bunch of people that were either dead or hiding wile in the courtyard a fight was going on. The lion took of running into the courtyard where I approached the stairs seeing the quarni, Inquisitor, Cullen, and Liliana all fighting the assassins and the duchess who was jumping around throwing weapons at them. I looked around the courtyard seeing six more lion statues that I called upon to help the fight. "GET BACK!" Everyone in the inquisition herd me and scrabbled back as I let the lions attack the assassins. They got driven back mostly being killed before the duchess was left she stared at me before running as I pointed my hand towards her making the lions pounce ripping her up. I glared at the body keeping my hand pointed to her before the lions retreated back to me ignoring the Inquisitors forces. The surrounded me as I got off the one I was riding, walking over to each pedestal and turning them back into stone. I then walked over with the last one to Liliana and said "sorry for being late I was dealing with my brother." She nodded her head saying "thanks for the help (Y/n) I didn't know you used so much magic like that." I shrugged responding with "I looked at it seeing that any normal weapon wasn't doing much so I just used that." She agreed and helped the other few up before I started up the stairs until I gasped in pain and fell down. "Ah!" Cullen walked over quickly saying "What happened?" I tried standing up but had to slouch on the railing and calling to the lion that I still had alive. It walked over and I grabbed onto its mane pulling myself on barely still slouching. "Hey Liliana don't tell anyone what I did or that I was here my father will kill me. Also AH!" A different wave of pain washed over me because of the magic I had used so quickly without a short break. I sighed trying to get rid of the pain before saying "No one speaks of this to my family." I then nudged the lion and it stared to make its way back to my family's estate. -Back at skyhold- the Inquisitor was sitting and looking over the reports, Josephine was accepting the new wealthy families funding and support from saving the empress and Liliana was sending scouts to check out new areas. Cullen walked up onto the tower finding Liliana sitting writing a note before asking "Can I help you Cullen?" He rubbed his neck before saying "what happened with lady (Y/n)?"  Liliana just said "nothing." He sighed knowing this was the only anwser he was going to get before leaving and moving into Josephine. "Oh Cullen well you see her family hasn't gotten back yet anyways it's none of your concern leave her be." He frowned in disappointment because of everyone acting like it was nothing. He went over to the Inquisitor saying "do you know anything about the (L/n) household? I was looking over the battle reports and I didn't know how to describe what happened with lady (L/n)." The Inquisitor looks at him before shrugging and saying "It's nothing just forget about that household." He then quickly left the room going to get Liliana and Josephine. They met up at the tower before Liliana said "Ok Josephine what did you find on that family." She looked concerned before saying "after looking at the family's back round which wasn't much it seems like they have some illegal trades going on. Miss lady (L/n) was at that party as if she knew something was going to happen I'm not sure if she was part of it. Tho getting that family to support the inquisition would be a large benefit but we would need to watch." It was quite for a wile before Liliana said "I'll have my scouts go find out these illegal activities and take care of them, Inquisitor go and get that family to join us." Everyone broke up and left to their jobs as the inquisitor took a horse to Val Royeaux being followed by scouts who lingered in the shadows. Josephine got to work sending invites to my family getting them to join the Inquisition. I was at home resting and drinking my problems away until my parents walked in saying "we need to talk (Y/n) it's about business." I sighed and got up from the day bed in my room and walked out the door downstairs to the table where I sat down waiting to be talked to. Time passed before I got asked about the ball "Nothing happened to me I am really glad my brother was there to get me out he really saved me." I smiled at my brother who just sighed and nodded his head not knowing I had done anything else. After a wile of getting questioned I took my leave and went outside into Val Royeaux to look around at the people before going into a small shop. I looked around for a bit buying a small dragon statue before I felt a hand on my shoulder say "We need to talk lady (L/n) it's important."
