My Love Who Got Away

FIRST

This is it, it's my first day in my new school. I'm nervous ! I will be meeting new people and will be dealing with different types of attitude. Bakit ba kasi kailangan ko pang mag transfer? Yes I am happy na I'll be studying Medical Technology as my pre-med course but to be honest, napamahal na rin sa akin ang Accountancy kahit na hindi talaga iyon ang kursong gusto ko.

It's so sad that I had to leave my former school and my friends. I loved it there, walang arte ang mga estudyante but I have to follow my dream and that is to become a doctor in the future. Mamimiss ko ang dating school ko and my friends too.

Papunta na ako sa first subject ko for this day and that is Laboratory Management.

" hey Ms. Nervada, need any help? " Siya si Miss Jade, ang secretary ng department namin.

" Uhmm yeah. I'm looking for this room..." Ipinakita ko sa kanya ang subject load ko.

" ah I see, it's right there. Lahat na classrooms dito ay MT rooms sa kabilang building naman ay sa Social Sciences, sa right na building naman ay ang Computer studies, tapos sa engineering ay nandoon. Just familiarize, malaki ang school maliligaw ka if bago ka pa dito" sabi niya sa aking matapos niya ituro sa akin ang mga iba't-ibang buildings.

" thank you miss. I should go now. Male-late na ako. " I smiled at her and pinuntahan na ang classroom na itinuro niya kanina.

Ng pumasok ako, all eyes are on me. Of course, who wouldn't? Transferee nga ako diba? Umupo ako sa pinakasulok dahil wala pa akong kakilala. Oh my God ! I'm a loner now.

"Uhm, new student can you introduce yourself please?" A woman in her mid thirties said smiling at me who I suppose our professor.

" Hi good morning everyone. I'm Zhianne Dane Nervada, 18 and a former Accountancy student from Institute of Technology and Sciences University. "

" why did you enroll in Medtech when you're a former accountancy student? " ( Medtech= Medical Technology)

" Well, my dream is to become a doctor and Medtech is the best pre-med course so I enrolled. About Accountancy, I was undecided then so my sister chose to enroll me in that course for the mean time. It wasn't really my choice. "

" I see. Welcome to Medtech family then. "

This day is tiring and boring, I should say. Introduction here and there. Ugh ! I really hate first day of school.

I did not attend my next class kaya nag ikot-ikot nalang ako sa campus to familiarize every corner of the school. I went to cafeteria to eat.

Ugh ! I really hate eating alone. I was scrolling thru my phone when someone sat in front of me.

" hey, mind if I share the table with you? Wala na kasing vacant eh and I still have class 30 mins. from now. "  he said while brushing his hair with his fingers.

"Go on. I don't mind. " I did not bother looking at him kasi busy ako sa phone ko. I'm looking for an apartment near my school kasi because I have 7:30 am class and I don't want to be late so I'll consider staying nearby nalang.

In a while ay tumayo na ang lalaki sa harap ko and umalis after saying his 'thank you' Tumayo na rin ako. Papasok nalang ako sa susunod kong class para naman hindi masayang ang pagpasok ko ngayong araw.

Nang mahanap ko ang room, I  was surprised to see the only person inside. Tinignan ko ang wristwatch ko, I came on time naman pero bakit kami pa ang nandito? Baka late lang sila. I was hesitant if papasok ba ako or uuwi nalang, it would be awkward din kasi because there's only the two of us at hindi ko pa siya kilala.

" Hey. Classmates pala tayo. Anong pangalan mo?"

Nilapitan ako ng lalaking nag-iisang nakaupo sa loob ng room. Umupo siya sa tabi ko at nakangiting nakatingin sa akin.

" h-huh? Uhmm Yeahh. Ohh, I'm Zhianne Dane Nervada. How about you??"

He's cute. Matangos ang ilong niya. He has thick eyebrows and long eyelashes.

" I'm Dan Russell Lim. Nice to meet you " inilahad niya ang kamay niya para makipagkamay sa akin. Ang lambot ng kamay niya.

Nagkwentuhan lang kami until we decided to go home. 1 hour na rin kasi kaming naghintay doon pero okay lang atleast we got to know each other more. Siya pala yung nakiupo sa canteen kanina. Nag sorry na rin ako sa kanya kasi hindi ko siya nakilala kasi hindi naman ako tumingin sa kanya kanina.

Sinabi niya sa akin na ang suplada ko raw kasi hindi ko siya pinapansin. Natatawa nalang ako. Ang saya ! May kaibigan na ako. Ang sarap niya kasama. We got along really well. He kept throwing jokes at tawang-tawa naman ako sa mga jokes niya.

My first day in school was not that bad I guess and great thanks to my new friend, Dan Russell Lim 😊
