POV: Matthew

I look around the Mansion after Connor. I heard from Anna that he came back from work early and I wanted to ask him an important question to him. Regarding girls, yes.

I look in the kitchen, bathroom, garden and living room but he wasn't there. I knock on his bedroom door and push open the door gently. It should have been the first door that I should have tried but oh well.

"Connor? Are you there?" I ask, just to make sure as I peek around

"Huh? Matt? Oh yeah, Come in lil' Bro" Connor spoke as he came out from his closet, smiling. His dimple similar to mine. I was the third child of the family, the second son though, as Anna is my elder sister. We three are mostly always stuck together. The three eldest.

I walk into his room and close the door behind me, making sure that nobody is nearby before I do.
"I have a question. Do you know Aileene? Leia's sister?"

"Uh sure I do, why?" He asks, his eyes curious at the questions

"Umh well, you know that for quite a while, even before you and Leia even met. I liked her. Do you think I should pursue her, or the fact that you are engaged with her sister will make it difficult" I ask and explain the situation, and he ponders over it for a minute. A strained look on his face. " I think you should. I trust you, and I know you won't shout this problem to everyone. My relationship with Leia is a little tedious. There's a possibility of a breakup - Dad already knows however as he has asked me why I didn't want our relationship to become business arrangements. So if I were to marry her, the business won't be affected and she can't earn anything from it. It's because of this reason that I have had some struggles with the elder. She is becoming a little... exhausting. I don't think she even loves me anymore, she just sees the money. Be careful. Dad might pass down the business to you so beware. Who knows, the big announcement tonight might be your wedding to one of the girls over there" He chuckles in a joke.

"Whatever do you mean?" I question, worry on my face at the fact that I find out my big bro is having some difficulties, yet a sliver of hope surrounds my entire being at the possibility I may have the girl of my dreams handed to me so quickly.

"Didn't you hear? Mum organized a dinner tonight at the restaurant. They are all coming - it's about my 'engagement' that may end" he mumbled the last part " but there's also something else they want to announce, a deal between our dad and theirs. Not sure what it is, we'll just have to wait and see really"

"Ohh I see. We'll just have to wait and see really, won't we" I laughed lightly, my head turned towards the door as Adrian walk in and shouted "God help me! God bless us! Mother curse you for inviting those girls to our school!" I hear a chuckle behind me, and I too chuckle.

"what's gotten into you?" he looks mortified.

"this girl called Naomi didn't stop staring at me at all, god it was so creepy" he trembles. "you guys are lucky, you get Leia. And you have the nicer one in your year, what's her name again? Aileene?" I nod, and he smiles slightly, before shaking his head and then he pouts a little with a groan before disappearing. "mother wants us to suffer more!" he shouts, talking about the dinner I have just found out about.

"Mother asks Aunty Yrsa to do so. To 'connect' us a little more." Connor spoke up.

"ah, I see. I guess that makes sense." I nod, pondering over the thought of what the announcement could be tonight. It has gotten some of my hopes quite high.
