Hey Guys! Please, check out my other books and recommend me to all your friends, acquaintances, and the random guy you see on the bus every day. Lol, I'm serious though, I have two other books, and I would really love to get these books known to the public, and I have lots more books to come. Comment, vote, follow, if you dare!

Stay Gold!

I don't know what to do. Sure, I think maybe Brent and I have lost a bit of our spark. It seems a little robotic now, or maybe just more like we're friends, ya know. It doesn't feel like a relationship should, like it used to. But is the answer to run around with other boys, without even knowing if this uncertainty is mutual?

Our breath seems so loud in the quiet room. Of course, the bad boy sitting in front of me goes to make the first move. He tries to close that mere inch, and I do the only thing I can think to do.

Now I must warn you, my split-second decision is:

Cruel.

Harsh.

Stupid.

Mean.

And all out of fear.

As he leans in to press his lips on mine, I turn my head to give him the cheek. After my brain catches up to present time, he stares at me in shock, and I look back in horror. Horror that I've just created an even bigger mess. Horror that all my walls that took years to design and structure and build are going to come crashing down for the boy in front of me. Horror that my life is going in directions I can't even understand.

But most of all, horror of falling in love. Scratch that. Falling for Harry wouldn't just be falling. It would be falling, then him not being there to catch me, so I'd tumble and crash and break into only bits and pieces of the woman I am.

I grasp for words, trying to even think if I know any; all my mouth gets out are hushed moans that wish they could be words. I jump up to run away. Just go anywhere but here. Harry reaches his arm out for me but drops it in defeat.

I leave my room and make it to the bottom of the stairs, before realizing, why the hell am I embarrassed? None of this would've happened if he hadn't stuck his nose into my business, and then tried to kiss me while he knows I'm dating somebody else.

Quickly, I run back up the stairs and into my room. "Leave," I say in almost a whisper.

"Bu-"

"Leave!" I scream, pointing to my door.

"Why should I?" he asks.

"You know, I used to think I was insensitive," I snap, "but at least I have a few people I actually care about. Like Ella; the only reason I'm in this stupid mess was because I was trying to make her happy." I sniffle, looking at the ground, before remembering who I'm talking to. My head shoots back up to meet his eyes. "All you ever think about is your goddamn self! Is there anybody in this world you care about!?" I screech. He shifts uncomfortably, his face dropping in seriousness.

~Harry Styles~

"All you ever think about is your goddamn self! Is there anybody in this world you care about!?" My eardrums just about blow out from the decibel she's screaming at.

"You," the thought in my head slips out of my mouth.

"You know, you're such a jer-wait what did you just say?"

I take a gulp of air and advance towards her. "You," I reiterate, more confidently this time.

My heart beats so rapidly. I've never done this before. I'm the player. The only time I tell a girl that I care about them, is not because I actually care about them. Expressing my feelings? Never done it. Well, not until Chloe River came along.

"That is a bloody lie! A goddamn bloody lie!" she screams in my face. "You don't obey Newton's laws. You just want action without reaction." The way she sounds like a geek right now is so cute. Secrets of Chloe River are really pouring out today. She and Brent aren't working, she's a geek, what's next? "Are you even paying attention?"

I snap out of my daze. "What did you say?"

"You bloody freaking jerk! I said, action without reaction means you want to play with girls and dump them without having them fight back." She pushes her entire body up against me. "Well, guess what," she pokes a finger at my chest with each word, "I'll be the only girl to fight. I will fight like hell."

I smirk at her, which makes her face contort into even more fury. "Love, don't say 'bloody,' unless you're British." I begin laughing at her angered face. She's turning into a freaking tomato; what do you expect from me?

"Leave!" The one word leaves her mouth like a war cry, and right now, she's commanding her soldiers to attack me. She points her finger towards the door, a scowl pasted onto her face.

I should probably just go; I've bugged her enough. But my legs won't let me leave, so I stand there frozen like an idiot.

"I'm sorry, was that word too big for you?" she asks angrily. "What I meant to say was 'Go bye-bye!'"

"Chloe-"

"Stop!" she interrupts. "Just go."

Our eyes meet, hers clouded with an incomprehensible darkness. The usual glint in her eyes, the one we both share, is gone. Completely covered by a clouded over coating. It's like she has a boundary up to protect herself.

And in that moment of understanding I share with her, I command my legs to move forward and walk out of this girl's room, my stomach churning. I admitted to her something I thought I couldn't even admit to myself and she didn't believe. Putting one heavy foot in front of the other, I slowly walk out of her house.

As soon as I reach my car, I reverse out of her driveway and then head towards the hotel we're staying at. When I push through the double doors, I'm greeted by the marble flooring of the large lobby. With no time to admire it or tend to the screaming fans, I push through the crowd and head up the elevator. I run down the carpeted hall and all the way into the suite. I see Liam first, "Any parties tonight?" I ask.

"Why? You need a new girl to add to your repertoire?" he teases.

"More like I need to get rid of one," I mumble while running a hand through my hair.

He laughs. "You?! Harry Styles needs to get a girl off his mind? God, the world's gonna end."

I stand there with my arms folded. "Not amused."

He calms down his laughter. "Alright, yeah, Louis and I are gonna head out to a club later. You can come if you want."

"Thanks, mate."

******************

Of course, Harry's upset, but just how upset do you think he is? Do you think he's upset enough to get carried away at the party? Or will something else stand in his way?

After all, nothing seems to be smooth sailing for him or Chloe.

So, what team are you guys on?
