Maddison Parker P.O.V
Once I gave the event staff the signal to raise the curtain again, Clark gave me a kiss on the cheek, and says, "You'll do fine babe. I believe in you. Just take a deep breath". So clearly he could tell I was nervous... great. If this counts as a first date, it's obviously going well... guess I'll have to make it up to him somehow later. I'll get that sorted out after I sing to my new boyfriend.
The song I wrote is called "My Superman", and it has a beat similar to the Everly Brothers "All I Have To Do Is Dream" and Simon and Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence". I've practiced it a few times beforehand, but I'm still pretty nervous about singing a love song in front of hundreds of people.
The song starts off with a nice, gentle tune, like the Righteous Brothers "Guess Who". The song picks up its beat within the first 30 seconds or so, and ends with the same tempo as it started with.
I could tell Clark absolutely loved it because his face got bright red as I started the song, as well as the end of the song. He leaned on my shoulder as I was singing, and slowly swayed from side to side, which moved me a little bit, which I was TOTALLY fine with.
Afterwards, the audience took a second to do anything, and when they did, it was like they saw the real Superman, or something like that. Everybody threw more flowers onto the stage and gave me a standing ovation like you'd never believe. Even Clark stood up and applauded, gave me a hug and a kiss, and said, "That was amazing Madds. I had no idea you had that in you. I'm glad you're my girlfriend now. We could be something out of a fairytale book, like uh... Cinderella and Prince Charming, or Beauty and the Beast, except I'd need more hair to be the Beast though...". I chuckled at that last remark because it's true, if he did have more facial hair, I'd call him the Beast.
I take my bows, along with a few flowers, and made my way off the stage, holding Clark's hand the whole time. I passed my mic on to the next performer, took a deep breathe, and gave Clark the biggest hug I've ever given to anybody, along with a kiss on his soft, tender lips. We then made our way to his car with his arm around my shoulder, and my arm wrapped his muscular back.
He drove me home, after we stopped to grab some ice cream about the halfway point. We didn't talk about much, other than what we're going to do to Speedy and Amanda on Monday. We both agree to make their punishment something that they'll never forget.
We also talked about what we were going to do with our relationship from this point forward, and set a few ground rules, like what each of us were allowed to do to the other at school, outside of school, and at each other's houses.
Once we got to my house, he kissed me on the cheek and said, "Goodnight my lovely princess. Get a good nights sleep. I'll text you tomorrow". I wished him a good night and made my way inside the front door, trying to be as quiet as I could, but dad is wide awake. I can't quite tell if he's drunk or not, but the first thing he asks me is, "Who's that boy you're hanging out with"? I try to think of something because I can't tell him that the boy is my boyfriend, so all I say is, "He's nobody, just someone in my math class. I asked him for help, and we stayed at a neutral place, so nothing bad would happen". Dads face goes bright red as he starts yelling at me.
