First Meeting of Clark and Maddison

What the hell does the office want with me? For all they know, I don't exist, or I'm just a myth or legend. I've never been called to the office before in my life... except for the time I forgot my lunch box at home, and mom brought it to school for me. I loved it when mom would make me lunch because she left a note with it saying that she loved me and hoped I had a good day at school. God, those were the good old days. If only I could turn back time, back to when mom was around and dad loved me for who I was, and not what he wanted me to be. I guess I have to leave the past in the past, and make the best of the present in hopes of a better future.

I manage to swerve around the large crowds of students going to fourth period, and I see someone who I'm starting to believe IS prettier than Rachel. I don't know her name or anything about her, but what I do know is that we have English and music together. I open the door to the office for her to go in first, and I see a very confused look on her face like she either doesn't know who I am, or why I, of all people, got called to the office.

We ended up sitting outside of Mr. Troys office while he finished a meeting he had with the weird guy in my history class... Ben I think his name is. In case you don't know Mr. Troy, he is a very heavyset, middle aged, bald black man. He claims he played d-line in high school and tried out for college, but was told he exceeded the weight limit by a good hundred pounds or so, so he pursued a career in education. Thirteen years later, he becomes the principal at Middleton High. He starts off by asking if we knew each other, and almost as if by instinct, we simultaneously say no. He goes ahead and tells me the girls name is Maddison, and he tells her mine.
