Clark Thompson P.O.V

After Maddison and myself walk out of the bathroom, we stand in the middle of the hallway. She turns left to go to history, and I have to go the opposite way for calculus. We hug for a minute, and I finally say, "Are you better now babe? I hate to see you this way. I am here for you, and I will always be. I'll talk to you next period, ok?"

She stares at me speechless, and kisses me on the cheek saying, "Alrighty handsome, we'll talk. See you soon". That didn't answer my first question, so I can only guess that she's doing somewhat better. I'm hoping I find out next period. I can't let her be this way, at least not while I'm around.

On my way to calculus, I spot Amanda in the hall, and I ask how I can make Maddison feel better, and she says, "Write her a love song. That's what she's good at, and you're good at singing, so maybe if you can combine the two, and write your own song that you'll sing to her, that just might do the trick".
