Maddison Parker P.O.V
Once Clark and I leave the office, I give him a weird look because I don't know why a good looking guy like himself would ever be nice to an outcast like me. What does he see on me for him to be nice? Maybe that's just the way he is. I don't really know because I've known of him, and he apparently has never heard of me. Goes to show how much of an outsider I am...
Once we get back into the hallway, I tell him thanks and that I appreciate him being different than other guys I've met. He gives me a confused look, and says, "You're welcome lovely". I didn't hear the last part, but I'm pretty sure THE Clark Thompson just gave me a compliment. Man, is Amanda going to be jealous. She has had the biggest crush on him since the fifth grade, but hasn't told him yet. Maybe I should make a move on him first. If I ever did, I have no idea how on earth I'd do it, or how he'd react.
Without thinking, I let out a heavy sigh as we walk to music together almost hand in hand. I see a smirk starting to show on his face, but he quickly hides it, and shakes his head as if he was disappointed in himself for not letting someone see him smile... poor guy. He should've never gone through what he has gone through the past few years. First his mother passed away, and his dad basically controls his life, and to top it off, he doesn't even have that many friends, aside from Speedy.
I ask him if I can tell him something, and he says, "Sure go ahead, I don't mind". I let out a sigh, and I tell him everything. I tell him about my school life, the shitty life I have at home, my feelings for him, what we could do for the talent show, and just about everything under the sun. After hearing this, he stops dead in the hall as if he'd run into a brick wall. He says, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry Maddison, I didn't know". I tell him it's alright, and there's no way he could've known all that about me.
I see a tear start to go down his chiseled face, and without thinking, I hug him and let him know everything's alright, now that I'm with him at the moment. I don't know what it is about him, but he makes me feel safe and secure, like I've needed him all my life. We stand in the middle of the hall just hugging, and we realize we need to get to class. I ask him if I can hold his hand, and maybe just pure instinct, he takes my hand in his and we walk to music together.
