Ch. 7 Aftermath

The humans woke up, laying down on their backs, and having a sense of accomplishment. Frisk sat up and noticed that David's hat was laying next to her, she picked it up, stood up, and handed it to David. David sits up and puts on his hat, he says

"Thanks, Frisk."

David looked around and saw Asriel first before anyone else, everyone was laying down and passed out. David and Frisk went over to Asriel, David shook Asriel and whispered

"Asriel. Come on. Wake up. You're back home."

Asriel opened his eyes slowly, it's like he was asleep for a long time. Asriel sat up and rubbed his eyes and said

"Home? I'm home?"

David and Frisk were happy that Asriel was brought back, Frisk said

"Yes, Asriel. You're home."

Asriel smiles gleefully and tears up a little. Toriel sat up with her eyes closed and as she was rubbing her eyes, David and Frisk used their bodies to hide Asriel behind them, they weren't sure how to introduce Asriel back to his parents, Toriel and Asgore.

"What do we do?"

David whispered to Frisk, she replied

"I don't know. Let's just wait for the right moment."

Toriel looked around until she saw David and Frisk, she said

"Oh! Hello, my children!"

Toriel notices that she's laying down, she continues

"Oh dear, did I fall asleep?"

David said "I don't know... what do you last remember?"

Toriel thought for a moment, stood up and said

"Well, the last thing I remember is coming over to stop the fighting, meeting your friends, then a big white flash cake from... somewhere, then I found myself laying down."

Papyrus sat up next, he said "Owie, my head. Oh! Hello, humans! Up and about I see!"

Papyrus stood up and then Sans woke up next, he said

"Huh? I passed out? Meh, it's not the first time."

Eventually, one by one, Undyne woke up, Alphys woke up, and then Asgore woke up. They were all confused as to why they all passed out at the same time, so they tried figuring it out together. While everyone was distracted, David said

"Ok, Asriel. We can't keep you behind our backs forever, so what we need you to do is hide someplace else until-"

Undyne called David out and said "Hey! David! Who're you talking to?"

David turns around slowly to face everyone while still hiding Asriel, he said

"Oh? Who? I'm just talking to Frisk."

Alphys pointed out and said "No, it looked like you were talking to someone behind you."

David looked worried and Frisk said

"Looks like we're going to have to spoil the surprise a little early, David."

David replied "Yeah... I know..."

David too a deep breath and said "Toriel. Asgore. Meet..."

David and Frisk moved to the side and revealed Asriel, he continued "your son. Asriel Dreemurr!"

Everyone was surprised to see the prince of the monsters alive, well, and young. Toriel began to cry and Asgore tried his best not to, Toriel whimpered
