The next few weeks went well. I worked on growing trust with Emery and growing our relationship. I helped her become more confident in who she was as a child of God. Emery seemed to becoming better and better friends with Harper everyday. There was one thing that she needed to get past before we could really making progress. She had to tell Harper about her eating disorder.

One day in late October, I had told Emery that she really needed to be honest with Harper about her anorexia. She really didn't want to but I convinced her that it was the right thing to do. Then that day at lunch I over heard part of their conversation.

"Harper, I have to tell you something."

"Ok, what is it?" Harper asked.

I saw Emery took a deep breath and say, "I have anorexia." Harper stared at Emery for a bit but not in a judgemental way. It was more of a peaceful look than anything. I waited for Harper to reply.

"I know."

Emery looked at her in shock for a bit. She had a million questions going through her head again. Her face gave it away.

"I figured it out on my own Emery. From the super skinny figure and the look of disgust on your face as you eat is obvious," Harper continued.

"I'm sorry for not telling you sooner," Emery apologized.

"It's alright. Now you know you can tell me anything and it's ok."

They hugged and I could see a huge smile on Emery's face. This was a special friendship. I had never seen a girl that forgiving in my life. Emery was so blessed to have someone like that as a friend. I was happy for her. God new just what she needed when she needed it.
