(ep6) A girl thing

Summer has ended....

And so as the getaways..

After being busy singing for some weddings for the whole month of June...
Aside from attending a newly started school term at an Engineering school, I was on my 2nd year in college when I'm about to turn 18 years old the next month.

A Cancerian..
As if i was a fan of zodiac signs...

"no wearing dress, no party for your birthday" my father warned.

Duhh... As if i liked to throw one..

Being pushed by some friends that wanted to celebrate my birthday,

I ended up preparing for the party..

I don't even have a chance to vent out my protest..

One day,

What a coincidence, i bumped into John while i was taking a jeepney ride..
What a great timing,

He asked me if i have time to spare since its been too long when i took my last visit at his house...

They lived not too far from our place, so he invited me to go to his place for some chat..

He told me that he and rose broke up few months ago..

I don't know why he's telling me all that.. i mean, i don't care at all...

Then,
I'm glad he remembered my birthday.. .
"are you throwing a party on your birthday? "he asked..

"yes, why you'd ask? " i replied
"would you like to come?
"I'll be needing men for my 18 roses" i added.
"I'll let you know if i could have time"he said..

At first, i wanted John to be my birthday partner, but I'm too hesitant to ask him...

Due to some of my choir teammates, since they helped preparing for the party, they told me that my debut partner was to be a surprise ...

So, i was left unaware..
I don't want to spoil their plans that makes them happy though, so i let them be...

Days before my party,

I was really clueless...
Yet, i felt uneasy since i hated to wear dress..... The worst.. A gown...

Party comes...
Dinner is heading...

....

It's not a big party though, my relatives and friends are there...
...
Eighteen girls have lighted candles for me after their wishes..

.... While the dinner started halfway of the party, and being seated at the center stage, someone is approaching towards me...

Am i believing this?? I uttered.

It was truly John coming at me..
He's so cute....

He's so handsome...
He stunningly looked like a local actor "Aga Mulach" that most girls like from our time..

I had a cold sweat.. Just like seeing ghost.. My heart really fluttered..
My world even stopped to spin...

"Happy Birthday! "he greeted.

"thank you, i didn't expected you'd come" i said.

"sorry i was late, i just got from school"he explained..
