One who would have looked at the duel taking place in the cold dungeons would have clearly observed that the boys wearing Red ties were sort of being overtaken by the ones who wore green.
"Locomotor Mortis," Draco yelled and all the Slytherins laughed when Harry fell to the floor. He shot up and was quick as a flash, "Rictusempra!!"
Zabini and Malfoy slumped down holding their stomachs and struggling with horrible laughing sensation. A smirk spread on Ron's freckley face.
Between tears, Draco threw a spell of the same kind on Harry, "Titillando."
The dungeons ringed with the havoc created by four laughing boys and the snickers of those who watched them.
"I'm gonna kill you Potter!" Draco said with a screwed face. Before he could get a grip on his wand, a voice said, "Expelliarmus." Four wands shot through the air into Hermione's hand whose face now showed a trail of blood. "Stop it now. Just stop. It's been enough. You are making Voldemort's work easier by killing each other faster. If we don't take it upon ourselves to fight as one, we won't even know when we'd get killed. So just stop!!"
None of the students knew that a man in black robes was taking in the scene hidden in the shadows. He somehow always realised that Granger was an extraordinary student but he would never...ever say it out aloud to anyone. Not even his own self. The intellect possessed by Granger was greater than that of all the other Hogwarts student body combined when talking in terms of intelligence.
Snape decided to walk out of the shadows. "What is happening here? Fighting again... Potter... and you too Weasley." Everyone jumped on hearing the cold syllables uttered unexpectedly by their Potions Master.
"Professor we didn't", Harry was cut off mid sentence when Snape put up a hand. "Detention you five. Expect my owl by tomorrow night." This earned a lot of annoyed sounds from the Slytherins.
"And...20 points from each house. As much as it pains me to punish students from my own house, still...students are prohibited to use magic outside classes. And especially for the purpose of en..ter...tain...ing their enemies," Snape almost hissed in a dangerous note. "Now get yourselves inside the classroom unless any of you would like to sweep the dust on the dungeon floor."
This was enough to warn any student about the flare in Snape's eyes. All the fifth years flocked the Potions classroom. Hermione picked up the copy of the book thrown on her with watery eyes. She pulled herself together and was about to open the door to the classroom when she was stopped in her tracks by her Professor's voice. "Granger!" Hermione hadn't realised that Snape was still outside. His visage didn't display any emotion. But his eyes had something Hermione didn't realise her Professor could feel. His eyes showed a hint of care. But... for whom?I am extremely sorry for being super late. But I'll definitely post new chapters soon from now on.
