I woke up feeling just great. Absolutely great, like the kidnapping hadn't happened, and it had all been a dream. Sunlight shown brightly through the white curtains on the side of the room. I frowned, this wasn't my room.
"Fudge cakes I really was kidnapped" I muttered quietly to myself. I sat up and discovered that I was now dressed in a pink night gown. It looked like something an old lady would have worn. I looked to my right. There were five beds with pink, soft-looking sheets and blankets. To my left were six beds with blue sheets and blankets.
"You awake my dear" said a womans voice. I jumped, startled. The woman I'd seen before was standing to my right. 'She wasn't there just a minute ago!' I thought absolutely horrified. I could feel my heart racing.
"I brought you your clothes, you need to be down stairs for breakfast soon" she said smiling. She shoved a bundle of clothes in my hands and briskly walked away. I stood up to get dressed. She had given me pink knee-high socks, and plaid pink skirt, a white blouse and a matching pink scarf. The shoes were simple, pink shoes. 'Waaay... to much pink' I thought as I slipped on the skirt and threw off the night-gown. Cold fingers pushed against my bare back. I flopped onto the bed.
"Gotcha!" laughed a boy. I pulled up a blanket to cover my chest and whirled around to face the a tall boy, with broad shoulders, and brown hair.
"What the fudge is your problem?" I snapped angrily. He continued laughing. I felt my face heat up.
"Wow, the new child sure is fiesty! huh, huh huh" he laughed at me, "fiesty child. You going to be my sister or future wife?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows in a suggestive manner. Obviously he was hoping the later option. I was about to curse him out when a man downstairs began yelling.
"Bill! Bill! Boy get your arse down here!" a man yelled.
"Coming pa!" Bill replied and slammed the door shut. I sighed and threw on the old-style blouse. There was a knock at the door and in entered a group of girls.
The blonde with the blue eyes was first to speak, her voice quiet, "Hi, you must be the new girl, I'm Lily and this is-"
"I'm Joan! I'm so glad I have another sister!" Joan, a brunet with high cheek bones, and brown eyes said. She hugged me briefly.
"aI'm Amynda, this is um- Suzan" said the tallest girl. Her brown hair was tied in a bun, and she stood tall and proud. I was guessing she was the oldest, Suzan maybe the second oldest. She has blonde hair, and also stood tall like Amynda. Joan and Lily led me out of the breakfast and downstairs. Seated at an enomous talble sat a woman and a man, Vicky, Joey, a group of boys and William.
"Goodmorning daughter" said the man at the head of the table. 'Was he speaking to me?' I wondered.
"Morning Woody" said the woman.
"Morning Elizabeth" they kissed, and Elizabeth took a seat at the other end of the table.
"I'm sure your wondering who your brothers are" Elizabeth sai.
"Not really" I muttered, but she didn't seem to hear.
"this is Bill" she said pointing to the large boy that had barged in on me when I was dressing. He gave me a smile and winked.
"Bryce" she pointed to a blonde haired, hazel eyed boy with a freckled face.
"Samuel" he was a brown haired boy, "David" she pointed to another brown haired kid.
"and William" she finished. "Course not all of them have to be your brothers, one could be your future honey" Woody suggested.
"Woody, it's to early to suggest that" Elizabeth laughed. I looked at the family in horror. Amynda turned and glared at me, "They're mine" she hissed quietly. Seeing that most of the boys had finished their breakfast Woody motinoed for them to follow.
"Come on boys we have wood to chop" he said with a stern, gruff voice. William muttered something before following along last. He didn't seem happy, but the boys in the front of the line, Samuel and David appeared to be thrilled to chop wood.
"Come on my dears, we're going to continue our lessons on being ladies" said Elizabeth sweetly. Hesitantely I followed behind Suzan and Amynda. I noticed there was a woman who rushed in and quickly cleared the table.
"Don't mind her, all she is- she's the help" Suzan said with an uncertain tone.
"Good girl" Amynda and Elizabeth told her. Both Lily and Joan looked doubtfull, but went along with what they were saying. Good gracious I was in a housefull of nutcases! I swallowed hard from nervousness as we entered a room to the left of the stairs. The left wall of the room was a giant mirror, the back wall had a large, long window, and the room smelled strongly like pine trees. I suppressed the urge to gag on the pine scent. It was overwhelming my sense, and made me feel light-headed. Not a good, or fun feeling.
