I'm sorry to do the same thing without much time between, but I've decided to make it official. I'm scrapping Everybody Shifts. I'll add something to the title, and I might mark it as completed, but I'm not going to finish the story any time soon, if I ever even do. I have no idea where I'm going with this story, and I figure I'd rather admit I started something without knowing how it was going to end than try to finish a half-baked, crappy idea. I hate myself for doing this with two different stories less than a month (less than a week? IDK) apart. I hate myself for thinking I could pull this off. I hate myself for more things than I can be bothered to write here, both related to and unrelated to my writing.
Both this story and Whiteflame started out as things I started writing because I was bored and we were in the school computer lab, so I started typing away. Snowmelt didn't start that way. It started as something I would tell myself when I was trying to fall asleep but my insomniac mind went "Ha! Hilarious! Not gonna happen, child!" That's why it's the only story with a consistent plot that I'm not planning to scrap anytime soon.
If you still want to read this because you haven't yet, feel free to do so.
Anyways, the TL:DR is this: I'm sorry, but I'm not going to be writing Everybody Shifts anymore.
