Chapter 22: The Past is in the Past, Right?

Elsa's POV

I cannot believe what Grand Pabbie just told me, that 'THAT' kind of currently monster lives inside of me.

(Remember, Grand Pabbie is the one telling the story, sorta like Elsa, Grand Pabbie and Darren (the Narrator)'s POV mixed together xD)

"Elsa, I'm gonna tell you a story that happened a thousand years ago..."

When I was just a kid, and long before I was cursed on being a pebble. I was completely human!

I lived in an orphanage that was near a church. I was an orphan, since my parents were murdered by a witch.

I usually hang out around the church, mostly praying and chatting with the nuns, but there was this one Nun that was different from the others.

Her name was "Usha Malice" (pronounced as Ah-sha), she usually wears black nun cloths, black shoes and a black onyx pendant around her neck with a white dragon symbol in it, she says it was a remembrance from her parents, she was also an Orphan like me. She also has a Platinum-Blonde hair like yours, her eyes were silver, has light freckles on her nose, pink lips and rosy cheeks. She's 18 years old.

You see, her name was quite convincing.. Usha was the Hindi myth name of a demon princess,a daughter of heaven, and a sister of night, meaning "dawn." And Malice means desire to inflict injury, harm, or suffering on another.

Usha is a special type of girl, she was born with strange and magical powers like yours, but her's were quite different... She has ice powers like yours, she can heal people... but at the same time can curse and make people ill (and mostly Kill). But the most special part about her is that, she can learn new types of magic, just by practicing or imagining it, and by that she can make herself Immortal, but there are types of magic which she cannot hold and use longer, for her training is not that good and her control is unstable.

One day, she got scolded for staring too much at a girl, who was from a Royal Family, she loves princesses and princes and would love to be one because they're graceful, kind, generous and elegant. She got to do the laundry because one of the staffs complained about her 'stalking' too much at the lady.

"I can't believe that they banned me from going to the castle, just by admiring someone!" Usha complained, as she hanged the clothes on the hangers, she was in a field with lots and lots of multicolored flowers and tall grasses. The weather was kinda windy, and Usha's hair flown perfectly synchronized with the wind, and her shadow was completely seen on the ground. "I wish I could rule someday.."

"Then why don't you rule a kingdom?" A shrill toned voice said, that made Usha shiver a bit. "With your powers, you can be the Queen of the World!"

"Queen, huh?" Usha grinned, "Not bad.."

"That's right, a Queen!" The voice said pleasingly.

Usha looked at her back to see who was the person, but nobody was there. "Uhm?"

"Down here."

She looked below, and there she saw her shadow, with bright yellow eyes and perfectly white teeth. "Uhm, hello Mr. Shadow?" she smiled, not caring how weird it was that her shadow talked.

"I'm Pitch." the shadow introduced himself.

"Usha" she smiled politely, "Why are you my Shadow, Mr. Pitch?"

"Because my dear, For my body is lost, and I cannot find it." he replied with a sad tone in his voice, "My magic allows me to be someone's shadow, If I may... can I be your Shadow?"
