Chapter 13: Wanting you Back

Hiccup's POV

Jack's been acting pretty weird lately, even the teachers and other students notice. He haven't made a prank for 4 days! That's a record! It started ever since he met that girl Elsa, from Disney Academy. I already told him that I don't want him to experience what I had, but Jack is really stubborn.

I sigh, I was heading towards the dragon stable to meet my best bud, Toothless.

Suddenly someone punched my back, "Ow! Jack that hurts-" I looked at my back to see him but....It wasn't him, instead it was Astrid!, my girlfriend. "Astrid, hi! Astrid..uhmm hi?"

She laughed, she was my childhood crush..but ever since I met Merida, my life changed, and instead she was the one who holds my heart...until now, cliché right?

Astrid became my girlfriend because I asked her to be, unexpectedly she agreed...maybe because I was the son of the Chief in our Island. I only wanted her to make me forget about Merida, and I did start to forget little by little...until Jack told me about Elsa, it made me want to fight for Merida again.

Don't get me wrong! I do like Astrid, since she was my Childhood crush, I really admired her..she's beautiful and brave, but when were talking about Merida, she different from any girls I know. She carefree, brave and funny, she's like me.. wanting to be free, and very protective when it comes on friends. She inspires me to be courageous. She helped me a lot on fighting and battle ways, while I help her with Math and Science assignments, which she really hates. Astrid only bullies and pranks me with her gang, until I asked her out.

I started spacing because I was talking to myself about Merida, until Astrid punched my back again. "Ow!"

"What are you spacing out for?!" she said annoyingly. "Were you thinking of girl, other than me?!"

"Aww~ My babyboo is Jealous!" I teased her.

She blushed, "I-Idiot! I am not jealous."

"Don't worry, I was just thinking how beautiful your hair was." I lied.

"Alright then." she quickly said, "Here's my assignment for tomorrow, I'm kinda busy today.. can you please answer it for me please?"

"Ah-" I was about to say something until she me off.

"Great! Thanks Hic!" she kissed my cheeks and giggled, "I mean babe."

I just nodded. "Okay.."

I hurriedly went to the dragon stable, greeted my pet dragon and flew home.

As I arrived home, I went inside and see Jack's still not yet here, I guess his with Elsa again.

I sigh, and started answering Astrid's assignment which was really confusing, but thank Odin I was able to finish it.

It was already 10:49, and Jacks still not yet here, maybe I'll go check on him.

I rode Toothless and we flew quick and silently, as soon as we found Jack near the border, Toothless landed behind a huge tree and we both stalk Jack.

He was happily talking to Elsa, to be honest he was right! Elsa is beautiful, she had platinum-blonde hair, amazing blue eyes and snow white skin.

But something else caught my attention, far back at her house... a girl with long, wild, curly, fiery red mane of hair, blue eyes, a pale skin tone, and slender body, her outfit was a dark teal traditional gown, made of cotton, with stylish slits for movement during archery aiming and firing arrows at targets, and I realized who it was.

It was Merida.

I look again at Jack, he was still having fun talking with Elsa, so I just let him be.

I asked Toothless to

Fly silently behind the wall near the archer grounds, I climbed on top of the tree and looked at Merida, which was still aiming and firing at targets with perfect scores.

I really admire her Archer Skills.

"If only I haven't left you.", I sigh, and muttered. "Your still the same girl I love."

Few months ago, Merida and I, like Jack and Elsa... talking and playing with each other, we even took chances on talking even during lunch when no one was around.

Until one day, we got busted.

It was my Dad who found me talking to Merida, and It was also Merida's Dad who founded her talking with me.

It turns out my Dad, Stoick the vast and Merida's Dad, Fergus were worst enemies. We were both Forbidden to see each other again.

I sigh, at least I am able to see her-

SNAP!

"Oops." I just snapped a branch, which made Merida notice me.

We both had eye contact even If we were too far from each other, she suddenly smiled.

I blushed, I kinda missed that sassy smile of hers. I smiled back, I tried to move closer and..

SNAP!

I finally broke a brach, which made me hold for my dear life, thank Thor Toothless was there to save me.

I could see Merida laughing.

I sticked my tongue out to her and rode on Toothless, I made sure I was not too near to the wall, people might see me.

I can see her yawn, and waved. She started saying something, which I could not hear but understand because of her mouth's movement, she was saying "Good Night.", I waved back at her and went home.

As soon as I arrived, I let Toothless sleep at our garage. As I went inside the house Jack was already there, with a huge smile on his face. "Being out in the dark alone is too dangerous for you, your Hiccupness." He teased.

I rolled my eyes, "Whatevs.." I cannot make him ruin my mood, I just met Merida again! and she was also happy to see me too!

"So. How did your meet-up go?" Jack flopped into his bed.

"You knew?" I asked him, as I also flopped into my bed.

"Yep, even the part you were holding to your dear life." He laughed, hysterically.

I hid my face in my pillow and groaned, "Oh the Gods hate me!"

"Why?" Jack asked. "They gave you a chance to see the girl you were always dreaming of."

"Or they are just making my life even harder!" I said, "I have a girlfriend, which is really terrifying. If she knew she would kill me! Or worse.... tell my dad!" I threw the pillow at Jack.

He caught it and threw it back at me, "At least you met her."

I smiled, "Yeah.."

He suddenly yawn, "Get some sleep bro, Night."

"Night Jack." I turned off the lights.

I hope everything will go well for Me and Merida also for Jack and Elsa.
