"Well, this is weird." Ariel spoke, back in her usual seat in the back if the Impala.

"What?" Dean glanced up at her in the rearview mirror.

"I'm the only one without relationship problems, for once."

She was only met by three sets of glares, one seeming oddly faked.

Ariel threw her hands up in surrender. "Okay, too soon. Got it." She sunk back into the seat. "Why don't you tell me about the new team? They're family?"

"Yeah. Campbells." Sam informed. "From Mom's side."

"Weird to think there's all this family we didn't know we had before." She tried to further diffuse the tension. "I'm gonna meet my biological grandpappy."

They pulled up to an abandoned house, and we're greeted by a older bald man.

"Samuel, this is my wife, Erin, and your granddaughter, Ariel." Sam introduced.

"Grandpappy, hello." Ariel greeted, trying to be so form of comic relief, but was yet again only met by a glare.

"Wife? You didn't tell us that you were married." Samuel said in shock.

"No surprise there." Erin mumbled, still angry.

"We did know about the third Winchester, though. Welcome. Let's go inside and discuss a plan if action, eh?"

In true Winchester fashion, nothing went according to plan. Dean ended up getting poisoned, an after all he wanted to do was get back to Ben and Lisa.

This meant choices were to be made. Were they all going to split up again? No, of course not.

Erin wanted to be with Sam. She felt like she needed to hear his side of things, try to work things out. But she didn't know if she could actually bring herself to be in the same room with him for that long.

They were all loading up their separate cars, when Erin made her choice. She still loved Sam, even if they were missing the same pull as before. She was desperate to fix things. She grabbed her bag and got into a car with him, saying goodbye to Dean and Ariel.

"Coming?" Dean directed to Ariel, as they watched the rest of their family drive off.

"Go ahead. I'll get a ride."

Dean gave her a confused look, before realizing what she meant. "Castiel. Okay, see you at Bobby's." He drove off, just as the others had done.

Ariel called out for Castiel as she had every other time, and waited for him to show. But he was taking much longer than he ever had. She began to pace back in forth in front of the darkened house with worry.

"Hello, Love." A deep familiar voice came from behind her.

"Crowley." She greeted, shortly.

"You mad, darling?"

"No, you just need to leave." She was very worried about Castiel showing up and seeing her having a pleasant conversation with the demon.

"No need. He'd not coming."

"What do you mean?" Ariel looked around in panic. "He always comes."

"Not this time." Crowley clicked his tongue. "I intercepted your call."

"Why?" Ariel back away. She wasn't afraid of Crowley, but right now, standing under a dim street light, clad in all black, he seemed almost threatening.

"I don't think he knows yet. But your beu messed up. I wanted to be the first to tell you." He smirked, like he was doing her a service.

"What do you mean he messed up?" She took another step back from the well dressed demon.

"Your youngest brother. Something isn't quite right about him." Crowley took a step forward, out from under the street light, and into the darkness with Ariel. "But you've noticed, haven't you? Erin's made you start to wonder if it is truly Sam. Of course, she just thinks it's the absence of Lucifer, when in reality, it's the absence of his soul."

Ariel stood frozen in her spot. "What are you talking about?"

"Oh really, Love. I deal in souls, I think I'd know is someone was missing one." Crowley shoved a hand into his pants pocket.

"What does Castiel have to do with this?"

"He tried to do a good thing for you. He thought you'd want your brother back, so he used his fancy new powers and pulled him out. Unfortunately, those powers just weren't enough to pull up all of Sam. Missing one key part."

"I don't want to hear this. You try to act all nice to me, like we're friends, but this could all just be a means to an end." Ariel tried to ignore the gnawing feeling in her gut that told her he was right. "Take me to Bobby's. If Castiel isn't coming, then you take me. I don't want to talk about it anymore."

Crowley just shrugged, approaching her and placing a hand on her shoulder. " Your choice to continue to be ignorant to the truth."

Before Ariel could respond to him, he was gone, and she was standing in front of Bobby's door.
