Erin got back and dropped the food on the table, trying her hardest to seem nonchalant. She turned to greet Sam, but was instead pressed roughly against the wall behind her. She let out a gasp and looked up to see Sam towering over her.
"Who were you talking to?" He asked, darkly.
Erin swallowed harshly, trying to not look away from him. "A friend."
A gasp left her lips when he brought her hands above her head, keeping them their with one of his hands. "Does he know?" he ducked his head down so he was inches from Erin's face.
"K-know what?" She tried to not turn away, still. She wasn't scared, just worried he knew.
Sam ducked his head down and peppered kisses around Erin's neck, stopping every so often to nibble. He pulled away and brought his lips to her ear, his hot breath causing cold shivers to work down her spine. "Does he know you're mine?" He brought his lips back to hers roughly, causing a small whine to leave her throat.
Erin was laying with her head on Sam's chest, her finger tracing circles just over his tattoo. "Does this mean we're okay?"
"I think this is a start." He told her, a chuckle leaving his lips.
She was happy he seemed to suddenly be happier with her. But she was also worried about the fact that she just kissed Z. She knew she couldn't tell him, not now. When he got better she would, but she would hold onto this happiness for as long as she could.
Little did she know, he knew exactly what to say to get what he wanted form her. he didn't exactly feel love, even though he knew he should, he just felt darker 'sinful' feelings, like anger and lust. He knew she shouldn't be doing what he was to her, but he couldn't help it, all he felt in that moment was pure lust. She was his property. No other man had any right to talk to her.
Knowing that Ariel and Dean were going to show up any time now, they decided to get dressed. Erin was in the bathroom, brushing her hair when she got a glimpse in the mirror.
"Sam!" She shouted. He walked into the bathroom a questioning look on his face. "What?"
"You left hickey's ALL OVER my neck!"She scolded. "I can't cover this up!"
He stepped behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, resting his chin on the top of her head. "I just wanted everyone to know you are mine."
Dean packed the Impala next to Sam's car, which he and Erin were leaned up against.
"Ben, your dad just parked you'll have to tell him- no- I know. I know. He own't yell." Ariel laughed into the phone. "be a big boy." She handed the phone over to Dean, and walked up to Sam and Erin. "Hey, since when do you wear scarves?"
Erin's face turned a deep shade of red, as she cleared her throat. "Uh, since now."
"Oh." Ariel chuckled. "Y'all made up."
Erin just nodded, even though she really wanted to tell Ariel about what happened with her and Z, she knew now wasn't the time.
They had found three dead bodies, all weirdly connected to Egyptian plagues, blood, boils, and locusts, they went back to the motel to call Castiel. Sam, however, thought it was a last ditch effort, because no matter how much he called. Castiel never showed up.
"I-uh- I could try." Ariel spoke up. "He usually comes." She was suddenly nervous that if her showed, he'd mention the last time they saw each other. Or if he didn't show, Crowley would.
"Go ahead." Sam dismissively waved his hand.
"Uh, Feathers? We need a bit of help down here, please?" She was always nervous about calling him in in front of people, in case he didn't show.
The longer they waited, the more nervous Ariel got.
"Like I said." Sam shrugged. "Son of a bitch doesn't answer." He stopped when he noticed everyone was staring behind him. "He's, uh, right behind me, isn't he?"
"Hello." Castiel greeted once Sam turned around.
"Hello?" Sam asked incredulously.
"Y-yes?" Castiel walked toward Ariel, who was in the center of the room.
"Hello." Sam mocked Castiel. "Hello?" he almost yelled.
"Is that still the term?" Castiel turned towards Ariel, who nodded. "Hello." He leaned down and kissed her.
"Hello." Ariel laughed at how oblivious he was, and how grossed out Dean seemed to be after seeing them kiss
"I spent all that time trying to get through to you. She calls you once and now it's "hello?"" He yelled out, angrily.
"Yes." Castiel nodded, not understanding the issue.
"So now you only answer to her then? She's the only important one?"
Erin put a hand on Sam's arm to try to comfort him, but he only shrugged it off. She tried to keep the shock off her face.
"Well, Ariel and I do share a more profound bond." Castiel turned to Ariel, trying to whisper. "Does he not remember we are soulmates?"
"I don't think that's the issue here, bud." She grabbed Castiel's hand. "He kind of went to hell for us. He's just hurt you didn't stop in to give him answers.
Castiel suddenly stiffened more than usual. "If I had answers then I might have responded. But I don't know, Sam. He barked. "We have no idea who brought you back from the cage... or why."
Ariel swallowed thickly and pulled her hand from Castiel's, hoping he wouldn't notice. There were a lot of lies floating around the room, and she felt like the only one who knew them all.
"So, it wasn't God?" Sam blinked.
"What part of 'I don't know' escaped your understanding?" Castiel snapped.
"Castiel!" Ariel gasped. "He's just asking for five minutes of your time, that's all. Even if you don't know, just tell him!" Ariel was trying very hard to block her thoughts from Castiel, because she didn't want him to accidentally pick up on what Crowley had already told her.
She was clearly doing a good job because Castiel sent her a confused glance.
"it doesn't matter." He shook his head, eyes lingering on Ariel, and she could feel him trying to poke around in her thoughts. Coming up empty, he turned to where Dean's research was laid on the table. "I'm here for this."
"What, so, your halo patrol isn't in charge of the killings?" Erin asked. "I was sure it was the angels."
"No, but they were committed with our weapons." Castiel proceeded to explain the situation, and ask for help.
"That's rich." Sam chuckled, darkly.
"Sam." Erin scolded. Her and Ariel getting tired of running defense.
"You guys, my "people skills" are "Rusty"." Castiel used air quotes as he spoke. "Pardon me, but I spent the last "year" as a multidimensional wavelength of celestial intent. The only reason I know what I do, is because Ariel was very patient with me, and taught me."
Beside him, Ariel beamed proudly.
"But you need to believe me when I say you do not want that weapon down here. You help me find it or more people die."
After they figured out the motive for the deaths, Castiel flew them to the suspect's house, which led to them "kidnapping" the kid who was doing the killings to try to figure out who staked a claim on his soul.
After much arguing, Castiel went chest deep into the child's soul. After they fought off an angel, and Castiel pulled his arm out, they had a name.
Balthazar.
