I stretch and turn off my alarm. To my surprise I ended up getting some sleep, even though I got a huge nightmare, sleep is sleep. I get up and change clothes, and then I get my jacket, I usually have one main jacket that I like to wear, and it used to be all black with some stripes, but now it has purple and has a storm cloud on it. I push my purple hair out of my face and brush my teeth, and then go over and grab my medicine. After taking the pills I go downstairs and sit down.

"Hi darling" Mom says pouring her coffee and then sitting down next to me. "How are you feeling?" She asks.

I shrug and reach over grabbing the cereal box and pouring some milk in it. "Listen...about Roman" she says, I can tell that she's trying not to upset me. "What about him?" I ask looking up at her. Mom puts her hands on her cup and stares at it, "Well, your father and I were talking and well, we don't think...well...I know that Roman has been your friend for a while, but I don't want you to be getting mixed into his life..." She says and then takes a sip of the coffee. "I mean, his dad might still come back, not to mention, did you see how he was clinging on you? Dear, you already have your own life to deal with, and that's a lot, we don't need to be throwing this other person's life on your conscious and have you deal with that...it's just too much for you Virgil..."

I stand up and take a deep breath, "You're right. I already have my own life to deal with, and it can be a lot sometimes. But Roman Prince has been my friend for a long time, he's driven me home many times before, and he cares about me. I was the one who wanted to go over to his house with him, and I was the one who gave him a hug. I think he's helping me more than I am helping him. Mom, I really care for Roman, a lot, and I want to help him" I say. Before my mom can answer I hear a horn honk from outside. I stand up, putting my bowl in the sink, grab my backpack, and then walk outside. I see Roman on his motorcycle. I walk over with my hands in my pocket, "Where is Logan?" I ask. Roman smiles, "He didn't want to join me on my ride so I figured I'd save you from having to go on the bus" he said, handing me the other helmet.

Soon the two of us parked in front of the school. Roman and I walk up the steps and he hold the door open for me, "After you" He offers and I smile and walk in. "Well, if it isn't the two fags. I saw you two hugging it out on the TV after Romans boozed dad left him, so I guess that makes you his new daddy huh?" Josh, a not so friendly jock says. Everyone around him laughed, one of them added "They even came on the same ride, hugging each other all the way over here"

I feel my heart beat through the roof, and turn around to run out the door. I turn around and slam right into Roman, causing the both of us to fall down, I land on Roman's chest. Everyone around us laughs even harder, until a voice breaks the laughter. "I want everyone to go to their class right now! Unless you all want me to go make a few calls and have all of youre sorry buts in detention."

I fell someone hoist me up. I look and see a guy looking at me and then at Roman, and then helps Roman up from the ground. He looks at us both and then smiles, "Sorry about those jerks, I know how it is to have some bullies not understand us." He says. I shake my head, "N-No it's not like t-that at all, he's just a  friend!" I yell. I hear some snickers from the kids walking away, "not even the emo freak wants him" I hear them say. The man frowns and then nods, "Sorry, didn't mean to offend, are you Roman?" He asks looking at Roman. Roman nods, not looking at me. The man's smile comes  back to him as he shakes Roman's hand happily, "Hi! It's so nice to meet you. My name is Thomas, but you can call me whatever you want. Probably Mr. Sanders if anything, but hey, I'm not gonna bust chops on you calling me something else." He said and then put his hands on his hips looking around at the hallway. "Sorry to come to your school but Mrs. Boks said it was urgent. You see, I'm the guy on your emergency contact. I was close friends with your mom. I'm sorry I haven't been around for you that much, but your dad hates me and did not want me around at all. Anyways, I am going to be your legal guardian, at least for now." He says and then puts his hand on Romans shoulder. "Listen, I'm so sorry for everything that's been going on, and I promise it'll get better. If for any reason you have to find a new home, then that home is going to be mine." Mr. Sanders says and then looks at Roman and then at me. "Although,I'm a HUGE disney fan so I'm sorry in advance for all the posters and that the guest bedroom has so many disney related stuffed animals" He adds.
