I still have some time before I have to leave. I pull out my phone and check the time, mom said that she had to make a quick stop at a friends house, and she's been in there for fifteen minutes. I should leave the car, but I figure that I still have some time before it's socially required for me to enter into this house to see what my mom's up to.

As if reading my mind, my mom mom comes out and walks up to the car with a grin on her face. She sits down in her seat and pulls out a book before turning to me.

"I need you to go inside for a tad dear, I'll be right outside waiting for you" she says. I tilt my head and start getting out of the car. My anxiety kicks in, maybe she finally decided to disown me, maybe she's going to leave the second I open up this door to this strange house.

I look back at her, she's reading her book. Not a care in the world

I slowly open up the door, when I see who's inside, I let out a gasp
