hwayoung walked to school, arriving around half an hour before it started. how that happened she had no idea, but walked to the classroom anyways.
she sat down at her desk and got out the homework for this lesson, including the other girls. after putting them in their respective places she walked back to her seat and took her phone out, scrolling through her social medias while she waited for the day to start.
while scrolling a crowd of voices was heard outside of the classroom, showing the 'popular' people had arrived. hwayoung sighed and put her phone away, knowing the teacher would be there soon.
she watched them all sit in their seats and turned to the front watching as the teacher walked in starting the day ahead of them.
---
the bell rang at the end of the third lesson, showing that they were half way through the day. lunch time.
mingi and san both walked over to hwayoungs desk, ready to go for food.
"guess what?" san said, showing some weird excitement for lunch.
"what?"
"I heard that they have soup for lunch today." san smiled, knowing that hwayoung seemingly loved soup for no apparent reason. whenever asked she would just reply, "I like it 'cause it's soupy", and that was that.
her smile grew on hearing that, "really? then we should get going before they run out." she got up out of her chair and sprinted towards the cafeteria, grabbing the two boys arms in the process.
when they arrived there the three lined up to get their food, san then mingi and hwayoung last. she got her tray and began walking over to where the boys were sat, before a foot came and tripped her up causing her to be covered in soup.
now on the floor, covered in the hot substance the girl looked up to the person that did that to her.
"oops, I think you should watch what you're doing next time." the boy showed no emotion, walking over to the table he usually sat at. not even sparing hwayoung a second glance.
san, being the amazing friend he is, ran over to the girl to help her. "what the hell dude?" he shouted towards his friend, who was sat there almost emotionless watching what was happening.
"it's fine san. it was my fault anyways." hwayoung just stood up, taking what was left of the food and getting rid of it before walking out of the cafeteria, all eyes on her.
san was angry to say the least, mingi too was now by his side. trying to prevent the smaller from doing anything he may regret.
"you're such a dick, seonghwa." he spat out. seonghwa was still sat there, looking like a sim waiting for his next order. eyes glazed over, showing an array of different emotions.
san saw the unresponsive male and walked out of the cafeteria following after hwayoung. mingi was shocked his friend would do something like that, especially when he had been so nice the day before.
"why?" he asked, hoping for anything that would make him feel less angry.
"I dont know." was muttered, however mingi barely heard it as he was halfway out the room.
---
hwayoung walked to her locker, thankful that she had always kept spare uniform in there. grabbing then walking to the bathroom she questioned why had just happened.
why is he so different to when he was in the cafe? is this what he's actually like?
she changed and dumped the soup covered ones back into her locker; making a note to take them home and wash them.
when she turned she saw a seething san as well as a slightly less angry mingi.
"how can I help?" she asked the two males in front of her, sans expression going from one of anger to a softer one of concern.
"are you okay?" he asked, pulling her arms around looking for any sign of pain. she just giggled at this, "yeah, I'm perfectly fine san. the soup wasnt even that hot."
"but it was still hot." mingi replied, pulling san away from the girl so that he didnt end up accidentally hurting her.
san sighed, "I just dont get why seonghwa would do such a thing."
the other two shrugged, knowing he didnt exactly have the best of reputations around the school. san seemingly oblivious to this.
"he might be on his man period." mingi shrugged, knowing that this was a bit different even for seonghwa.
"whatever, I dont really care." hwayoung spoke, "I'm going to the library, I'll see you guys in maths."
before they could say anything more, she walked down the hall and toward the library. feeling somewhat dejected.
---
seonghwa saying he didn't know why he did that was a slight lie, but also incredibly truthful.
after working with the girl on Saturday he had noticed different things about her. the way her dimples formed when she smiled, freckles glistening in the sunlight, and the way she glowed when she smiled genuinely at people around her.
he felt weird.
he hadn't felt this way towards anyone before so this was a totally new feeling for him. usually he would just hookup with random girls at parties, and then never see them again. no strings attached.
but for some reason hwayoung was affecting him, and he wasnt sure how to react. so for some strange reason his brain decided it would be a good idea to just be a bad person, try to shut out these new feelings.
he hoped it would work.
