hwayoung had been feeling ill all week. after seonghwa had brought her home that night, she hadn't seen anyone since. sanha had came with the work she missed from school and dongmin brought her meals to eat, but she was never in the mood to eat.

it was sunday afternoon when she finally came out of her room, walking into the living room only to be greeted by dongmin watching the news. he turned at the sound of her walking through.

"you feeling better?" he asked, being cautious as he didn't want her to lock herself away again.

"I think so." she replied, fixing her eyes on the news and watching what the woman on the screen was talking about.

"... as seen earlier this afternoon. however a more shocking story that concerns the recent kidnapping of small animals that has been happening around the city."

the siblings ear perked up, causing them to both lean towards the screen ready to hear what the woman had to say.

"two teenagers had found yesterday that their missing pets had shown up, in order to be bought, from the newest opening pet shop in the town. after buying their pets back and confirming it was them they called the police, who then rushed to the scene and arrested the owner of the shop. it is yet to be confirmed about the details..."

"who do you think were the teenagers that found out?" dongmin questioned out of curiosity. hwayoung shook her head, "no idea, but whoever they are I'm thankful."

almost as soon as she stopped speaking, the doorbell to their apartment rang leaving the siblings curious as to who could be at the door. no one normally visited on Sundays.

dongmin offered to answer the door, but hwayoung got up to answer it instead. she unlocked it and looked to immediately lock eyes with seonghwa.

"hwayoung!" he smiled energetically, obviously not have been expecting her to open the door. "how are you?"

"I'm good I guess? what brings you here?" she spoke back, noticing he was alone holding something behind his back.

"well," he began to look as if thinking, probably beginning a story, "yesterday me and san were pretty bored, so we went to that new shop that just opened? I guess its closing now but anyways, we went and I looked over at the section with all the bunnies and I found..."

he pulled a small carrier from behind his back, showing the three bunnies in all their fluffiness. hwayoung could have sworn she had never been more happy in her life.

"you found them!" she smiled, seonghwa could feel his heart rate increasing by the second.

"I mean technically if it wasn't for san I wouldn't have but-" he was abruptly stopped when she pulled him into a hug, she had placed the carrier on the floor wrapping both arms firmly around the male in front of her.

seonghwa was shocked for a second before hugging her back.

"thank you." she spoke quietly, however it was quite clearly heard by the male.

the two stood together for a bit longer before hwayoung needed to go back in her house. she took the bunnies from where she had placed them on the floor, thanking the male again she walked into her house.

seonghwa stood looking at the closed door for a small while before heading out of the building and down towards the police station as he had to make a statement about finding out that the pet shop was selling stolen pets.

hwayoung had walked back into her house, placing her bunnies back into the garden, snuggling them once more. cherishing how at home she felt surrounded by them, then feeding them. the three miniature bundles of fluff surrounding her as she fed them a mixture of carrots and spinach.

her brother dongmin came out, also giving the small beings some food. the two siblings enjoying the afternoon, both their moods instantly lifted by the presence of the bunnies.

after a while a breeze fell over them and the two put the bunnies back into their cage, then heading inside to grab something to eat.

slowly the sun sank away out of view, the breeze picking up and casting a cool feeling on what was once a warm summer day. bundles of colour being painted across the sky, leaving a masterpiece for all those who happened to stop and look upwards towards the sky above them.

the breeze continued as seonghwa made his way out of the police station, walking slowly and breathing in the relatively fresh air of the city. passing by a park, empty as all small children had gone home.

he was stressed out slightly, even though he had brought hwayoung her bunnies back he didn't know what to do. in the days that he didnt see her his feelings only seemed to grow. on Friday night him, as well as the rest of the group, had all avoided whatever party was being thrown that weekend deciding to have a movie marathon instead.

he was debating doing something about it, although seeing her again made him confused but sure that he maybe liked her. part of him really wanted to do something about it, another part of him was really scared that she didn't like him back.

this part of him was much stronger, he had a bad history of being a fuckboy, player everything and he didn't think that he would be trustworthy enough for a relationship. thinking he wasnt good enough for her. he also knew there was a chance that san and mingi would beat him if anything in the relationship went wrong as they were very protective over their friend.

eventually he arrived back to his apartment with hongjoong where the other male was sat watching TV.

"that you seonghwa?"

"no its murderer, yeah its me dumbass."

"just making sure."

seonghwa sat down next to hongjoong, proceeding to look at the screen showing whatever was going on. after a few minutes of debating he decided to ask for some advice.

"joong?"

"hm." the other male hummed in response, showing he was listening while his eyes stayed fixed on the screen.

"how do you know if you like someone?"
