tomorrow came quickly for seonghwa. after managing to fall asleep he woke the next morning energised. the other members questioning his cheery aura, but leaving him to it assuming he would tell them at some point in the future.

he started getting ready for the school day ahead, wearing the uniform, walking out the door before the members so that he could get to the school slightly earlier. he walked to school with a small smile on his face, remembering the bbq last night and treasuring the memories he had made with everyone there.

while he was thinking he arrived at the school quickly, walking to the cafeteria to sit down before it was time to go to the classroom. around him a few other students were sat at tables either studying or talking to friends.

seonghwa pulled his phone from his pocket scrolling through it to pass some time, not noticing a figure sit down beside him. the figure coughed in order to grab the male's attention. he turned towards them.

"oh, hey jiwon." he spoke briefly before turning his phone off and slipping it back into his pocket. the girl smiled, "hi seonghwa."

she leaned in slightly closer to him, as one of the most attractive girls in the school you'd think that she would get some reaction but seonghwa stayed unbothered. his mind lingering on other thoughts.

"are you free tonight?" she asked, her eyes showing a slight lustful undertone. even though it was a Tuesday. 

"tonight?" he confirmed, she nodded, "no, I'm busy." 

jiwon's face dropped in response to this, "why?". seonghwa just sighed, "none of your business, now if you'd excuse me." he spoke while getting up off his chair, leaving the girl sat alone in the cafeteria. lucky for her, no one was around to see anything happen.

seonghwa soon arrived at the classroom moments later to see that most people were already in there, including hwayoung who was talking to san and mingi. the three were laughing over something on mingi's phone, seonghwa walked to his seat averting his eyes from the interaction.

he didn't know why he suddenly had a weird feeling bubbling in his stomach, watching the three together. although he ignored it and joined into the conversation that was happening around him.

the school day seemed agonisingly slow to seonghwa as he waited for the end of the school day to arrive. the two hadn't talked all day to each other, however hwayoung was also nervous. she didnt know why seonghwa had actually agreed to going on date with her. she's confused at why she even asked in the first place.

the two had agreed that they would meet at the cafe at around 5 o'clock, so when the school bell rang at 3:45pm the two walked home quickly both arriving back at similar times.

seonghwa walked into his room, deciding on what he should wear quickly and throwing it on, making himself look presentable before realising that he was probably ready too early. it was another 45 minutes before the two had to meet each other.

the male sat on the sofa in the living room next to hongjoong who was watching a k-drama on the TV. although he didnt sit still for long before deciding that he would go early, just in case.

"hey hongjoong, I'm going to head out." seonghwa spoke almost shyly, as if he didn't want hongjoong to know where he was going.

the other male just nodded, "if you happen to pass the soup cafe near school can you get me some of the sorbet from there?". seonghwa was slightly startled by the mention of the soup cafe, but mumbled a small yes nonetheless.

with that he headed out the door and walked toward the cafe, wondering what would happen on the so-called 'date'. 

the air in the city seemed fresh, the sky still a light blue colour and not many clouds present in the sky. a warm temperature was also present, however this was to be expected as it was the beginning of summer so more frequent warm weather would be happening.

the streets were quite crowded, some people on their way home from work. others out with partners or friends to pass their time. as he was walking seonghwa wasn't particularly watching where he was walking and bumped into someone.

the person mumbled a small sorry before walking quickly away. they were wearing all black, had a mask and a black backpack on their back. this may make them seem suspicious, however seonghwa seemed unbothered as he walked into the soup cafe that was not too far away from the collision.

he walked into the cafe, making a mental note to get the sorbet that hongjoong wanted.

the cafe was quite large, stretching quite far with lots of available seating. the cafe had a nice aesthetic and was always quite busy. it wasnt a soup cafe, however they had the best in the country supposedly (according to alot of customers) so most called it the soup cafe.

seonghwa walked in, getting a table that was easily seen by anyone who walked into the door. then he waited. 

and waited.

and waited.

he was beginning to think that hwayoung wasn't going to show up, thinking that she had been lying about wanting to meet him on this date. but, she was excited? earlier the two had spoke briefly and seonghwa could remember the pure excitement that shone through her eyes as they spoke about the date.

he had bought a few drinks while there, as well as trying some of the sorbet they had to offer. he checked his phone again, 6:57pm. the cafe didn't close for another hour, but seonghwa didn't think he'd be welcome to stay much longer.

he grabbed his things from the table, walking to the counter to buy a takeout tub of sorbet for hongjoong. he payed for it swiftly before turning around, eyes meeting a disheveled hwayoung stood at the door. tears visible clearly running down her face.

all disappointment of supposedly being stood up disappeared as soon as he saw the girl in front of him. she was panting, out of breath. tars still constantly streaming from her eyes.

seonghwa grabbed her by the shoulders pulling her into a hug, "what happened?" he questioned softly. not wanting to upset the girl more.

she sniffled slightly, "they're gone, the bunnies are gone."

the summer camp thing was awful, I realised how annoying some people can be
