Kacey's POV
It's finally fashion week in Paris. I'm so excited to be away from all the drama my family is going through.
I don't have a show until tomorrow and the rest of the family doesn't fly in until tonight so I have the whole day to myself.
I am currently in my hotel room bored out of my mind. I wasn't in the mood to really go out and do anything. Paparazzi and media are taking over the city this week and the thought of being caught up in that mess is not a very pleasant one for me right now.
I twiddled with my thumbs for a little while before letting out a loud sigh of boredom. I was starting to get hungry and the thought of crepes and coffee soon sounded delicious.
I grabbed my phone and ordered and uber. I didn't feel like staying in this hotel room anymore and felt the risk of exploring sounded much more fun.
I got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up a little bit. I then grabbed my purse, sunglasses, and phone before leaving my hotel room.
I put my sunglasses on as I entered the elevator. I pressed the button for the lobby and the elevator made its way down. I put the hood of the hoodie that I was wearing up as the elevator doors opened.
The lobby was swarmed with different kinds of people. I quickly put my head down and tried my best not to be noticed. I succeeded because I wasn't stopped once. I took a seat on the lobby couch and checked the status of my uber. It was going to be a while before it came.
I let out a small sigh before opening Instagram and scrolling through my feed.
"Excuse me, madam, this area needs to be cleared," I heard a man say behind me as he tapped my shoulder. I turned around to be met with a hotel staff member.
The man stared at me for an uncomfortable amount of time. My guess was he was trying to figure out who exactly was hidden behind the hoodie and sunglasses.
"Oh, my bad. I'll leave," I said softly.
I gathered my things and stood up. I put my head down and began to walk away from the area.
"Are you Kacey Carter?" he asked.
I stopped dead in my tracks. I looked up at him and then at the paparazzi that was nearby who were now looking in my direction. I shook my head at the man but it was too late, the paparazzi were now headed towards me.
I put my head back down and quickly walked out of the hotel and down the busy streets of Paris.
I turn around to see that a couple of people with cameras were following me.
"Damn it!" I said to myself as I continued to walk.
I blended into different crowds and turned at every block I could in an attempt to lose the paparazzi.
I looked back and noticed only one was still following me and there was a huge distance between the two of us.
I turned my head back around and suddenly bumped into someone causing them to spill their coffee all over their shirt.
"Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry. I'll pay to get it cleaned and I'll pay for another coffee," I quickly said.
"It's fine," I heard a deep voice say.
I looked up at to be met with a man housing a huge smile on his face. He looked to be around my age and was super cute.
"Um...," I couldn't seem to form a sentence.
I looked behind me and saw the paparazzi was getting closer. I looked back at the man.
"Unfortunately, I'm kind of in a rush right now. Do you have any social media or a phone number, something I could use to contact you?" I asked and he nodded.
