Amy's Pov

It has been a full week and Todd is still my friend, he wants to come over my house but there is no way in hell I am letting him anywhere near my mom.

"What are you thinking about," Todd asked as he sat next to me with his tray of food.

"How are you still my friend?"

"Everyone needs a friend."

"Have you gotten teased yet?"

"No, actually I have talked to them. They like me."

"Well, this friendship was fun while it last." I took a bit of my fries.

"You know you can't get rid of me that easy."

"What do you mean?"

"I am working on convincing them that you are really cool and that they need to leave you alone."

"You will have a better chance of the entire school getting an A+ in Mr. F's class."

"Well, all you have to do is tell everyone your secret."

"I told you already, just follow the school rules."

we ate lunch talking and laughing, it feels really good having someone to talk to again. As I was walking to my last period class Penny stood in my pathway.

"Has does it feel to have a friend?" She smirked at me.

"What have I done to you?"

"It's so sad that you don't see our social status difference."

"I really don't care, now I need to get to class."

I tried to walk around her but she blocked me again.

"We are not done talking." She said.

"Yes, you two are," Todd said. "Come on Amy, we are going to be late."

Penny moved to let me pass.

"Thank you," I said to Todd as we sat down.

"Is everything okay?" Mr. F asked.

"yeah, Penny was just stalling me, but Todd got her to move."

"It's nice to see someone finally being nice to you." He looked at Todd and smiled.

"Yeah, it is great to have a friend again," I said matching Mr. F's smile.

******Later that night******

"Mom, I am going over Todd's house, we have a project," I said putting my shoes on.

"Who the fuck is Todd?"

"A classmate."

"Of course, no one wants to be friends with you." She walked to the door, I didn't even hear the doorbell. She opened it showing Todd and his mom.

"Todd!" I said.

"Hey, my mom wanted to meet your mom before you came over." He looked at the ground.

"Great." I took a big breath.

"Hello, I am Amy's mom, do you want to come in and have a glass of wine while the kids work?"

"That sounds like a wonderful idea."

They went into the kitchen.

"Looks like we are doing the project here," Todd said walking into the house.

"Looks that way, um how about we work in the dining room." I took my shoes off then walked into the dining room.

We worked on the project for about three hours then his mom stumbled into the room.
