Amy's Pov

When I woke up I was snuggled into Mark's side, he had his arm wrapped around me holding me tight.

"Good morning." He said then kissed the top of my head.

"Did you tell Ethan that we are not coming in?" I looked up at him.

"I told him that I am not coming in, he will see on the attendance sheet that you are not in for any of your classes."

"Yay! Hooky."

He kissed the top of my head again, "so we can either get up and go eat or we can lay around some more up here."

"I vote for the second one."

"I second that, all votes are in and counted, the tally is 2-0 for lying in bed."

I snuggled back into him giggling.

He played with my hair as I fought going back to sleep, I just want to stay in his arms.

"I have my interview on the phone today." He said.

"You will do great but are you sure you want to give up your job here for me."

He looked down at me in confusion.

"What do you mean? Oh, course I am going to pick you."

"But you already have it all here, and a job! It is my fault that you could be jobless in a few months."

"No, none of this is your fault. To be honest, it's mine, I am the one who made the first move. But it's okay. It will be nice to get a different view and work somewhere else. I have been at the high school for a few years now, teaching something new will be refreshing."

"So, you are not mad at me?"

"Why on earth would I be mad at you? Who put that in your head?"

I looked away.

"Baby, no, I am not mad at you. I promise you everything is okay. No matter what I will always pick you. Just a few more months and we will be able to go outside and be a real couple."

"Sorry, my mind just."

He interrupted me by kissing me, when he pulled away he said,

"You don't need to be sorry. You have been fighting to live and now you don't need to do that. Your brain doesn't know how to react to that"

"No, I am used to getting yelled at and belittled."

"Never again."

"I like how Cody was trying to fight Todd and you yelled at Todd to sit down. I think you swore at him."

"I did, he went and told Ethan."

"Snitch."

"Ethan just told me to stop swearing at him, I told him no and walked away. I will not be working there anymore in a few months, he can't fire me because no one will teach the amounts of classes I do for only a few months. We both know that."

"So, you are untouchable."

"Kinda, I just got to make sure no one sees me do this."

He pulled me in for a sloppy kiss, I followed his lead.

"Someone just walked onto the front porch." He sat up.

"How can you tell?"

"I can hear them."

We both got up and went downstairs, the closer we got the louder the voice got.

"It's my mom." I backed away from the door.
