*Chapter 27*

Y/n's pov:

Deku's eyes slowly fluttered open. His eyes widened in shock as he saw you next to him.

"You're awake!" You yelled in surprise. Your voice drew everyone else back into the small room.

The class huddled closely together in the small room. Todoroki put his hand on your shoulder to draw you back next to him.

"Have you seen the media lately?" Denki asked while stuffing his hands awkwardly in his pant pockets. "They're all over the school"

"Even more than the spring"

Deku's eyes glazed over as the memory and of the night at the camp set in.

"I couldn't save him" Deku finally said quietly "I useless. Mr. Aizawa was right.

"I couldn't move my body fast enough" tears started running down his face.

Kirishima shifted uncomfortably before saying quietly but loudly all the same "let's save him then. When Todoroki and I were here the other day we hear Momo talking to the heros and tell them about a tracking device."

"So what your saying" Iida growled in a very un-Iida-ish way "is that your going to ask Yaoyorozu to make a copy of the device for you"

Kirishima continued like Iida hadn't spoken "so come on we can save Bakugou!" He finished holding out an expected hand for Deku to take. His eyes were burning with an excited determination.

A moment passed. Then another.

"Kiri, you -er- know Deku can't move, right?"

His cheeks flushed with embarrassment. While rubbing the back of his neck tenderly he mumbled "oh ya right"

"And anyway" you began slowly, looking for the words as to not upset the three determined males in front of you "if the heroes have a tracking device then Bakugou will be fine. You don't have to really-"

The boys looked at you in a numb silence as your voice faltered.

"We have to do something" Kirishima spat at you. His voice was as venomous as you've ever heard it.

"Y/n's right though" Iida said coming to your rescue "you'd just be in the way. You could end up becoming a bigger nuisance"

"I have to go. If I don't I wouldn't even be able to consider myself a man let alone a hero"

"You..." Iida was boiling in rage "You have to be joking"

"Guys calm down we're in a hospital" you scolded.

"Me and Todoroki are going either way" Kiri stated, the rage in his voice was thinning out.

Todo used this time to examine the floor tiles.

"We're all in shock over Bakugou so we have to think about this calmly" the frog like girl said, speaking up for the first time "what you're doing is illegal. If you break the law you're no better than the villains"

A heavy silence fell over the class.

"Sorry it's time for Midoriya's exam" a doctor said pushing open the door.

The silence followed us as we walked out of the hospital. Todoroki had slipped his hand in yours.

"Todo?" You asked gently, coming to a stop. Your arms were outstretched but connecting "I doubt anything I say could stop you from going if you wanted to and I hope you won't go. Especially after what everyone said but, if you do decide you want to go, could you think rationally for a minute. Pros will be trying to get him back. Even if you could do anything there might be repercussions for using you quirk without a license."

Your e/c eyes looked up into his mismatched ones.

"Please?"

You wanted him to say he wasn't going, that he would stay safe, that he would even just think it over, but all you got was a stiff nod of the head. He pulled you forward into his arms, his head resting on your shoulder still silent.

"I love you y/n" he said into the crook of your neck. The words weren't filled with love or happiness though, it sounded like an apology.

Sorry Y/n...

You swallowed back the fear and wrapped your arms around his frame.

"I love you too, Shoto"

Sorry for the delay of the chapter. I've been fighting with it fir a while now.
Unfortunately this story is almost over (only 1 or 2 chapters left)
I also wondered if anyone was a fan of KiriBaku because I wanted to do a story on them or if I should do a story for another fandom.
