Brynn loved art. Actually, the word love would be an understatement. It was one of the only things that calmed her down. But, there was something she absolutely did not like. It was Damian. So, this art project was essentially balanced out.

Brynn walked out of her house with her bag. It was, unfortunately, Sunday, which meant that she had to see that brat. According to her map app, Damian's house was only a few miles long. She took out her earphones from her pocket and plugged it into her phone. Without a care in the world, Brynn started listening to Ben Platt and just went along her away. She took in the beautiful sunset and smiled to herself. Thirty minutes later, she finally arrived at a gated mansion. She raised her eyebrow, impressed with how huge the building was.

"I'm here Damian. Open the door." she texted him.

He immediately responded. "Just open the gate yourself. It isn't locked."

Rolling her eyes, she pushed the gate open. Her breath was hitched as she stood upon the largest home she had ever seen in her life.

"Ah, you must be Ms. Mclean." Brynn saw a butler opening the door and walking towards her. Even the butler had elegance.

"Yes. And you are?"

"I'm Alfred Pennyworth. You can simply call me Alfred." he extended his hand for Brynn to shake.

"Pleased to meet you, Alfred. I'm looking for Damian Wayne."

"Right, of course. Master Damian was waiting for you. Please do come in, I'll show you to his room," Alfred said as he welcomed Brynn inside the building.

The inside of the mansion was easily nondescript. It was too big for Brynn to comprehend. Alfred saw the look on her face and only chuckled. Both of them just went up the stairs and kept walking down the hallway until they stopped at the door of a room; presumably of Damian's. "I have been living in this manor for an extremely long time and I myself still can't see why Master Bruce bought such a huge house."

"Imagine being that rich..." she muttered to herself before being cut off by a voice.

"I'll take McLean from here. Thank you, Pennyworth," Damian said as he opened the door. Alfred nodded and started walking the other way. Brynn stepped inside Damian's bedroom and saw that his room was almost as big as her house.

"Impressed?" Damian smirked.

"More confused. This room is unnecessarily big," she replied as she bounced on Damian's bed. He also sat on top of his bed and shrugged.

"Talk to my father."

"So about our art project... Look, I don't want us to bicker over stuff like this. Art is a way to escape reality and I really don't want you to ruin it. So to make life a lot easier, you do your part, and I'll do my part. Then we can just combine ours before it's due." Brynn said as she stared blankly at Damian's emerald eyes.

"I believe in legitimacy. Therefore, I will not follow your plan. To make this art project feel genuine and authentic, we must work together. I too, do not really want to work with you but it is what it is," he said.

"Your speaking manner is way too stilted and formal. You don't have to talk to me like I'm your dad," Brynn stated. "And fine, if you want to have the "genuine and authentic" feel then so be it. But this was all your idea."

"I'll speak however the way I want to," Damian crossed his arms. Brynn rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. Let's just start brainstorming. Anyways, what makes us different? That was the art prompt right?"

"Yea, that is the art prompt. And for starters, we can say that I'm the less annoying one," Damian smirked.

"Shut up. Today isn't Opposite Day," Brynn retorted as she tried to hit Damian with one of his pillows. He swiftly dodged it and grabbed another one of the pillows from his bed. With it, he smacked Brynn right in the face. "Hey!" there was a smile of her face.

"Don't mess with me," Damian said.

"Don't mess with me," Brynn mocked as she hit Damian on the head with the pillow.

"Oh, you're on, McLean!" he yelled as he smacked Brynn from her side.

"Screw you, Wayne!" she hit Damian on the side as well, fast enough so that he couldn't dodge. Laughter filled the air as both of them continued to playfight. After things calmed down, Brynn sighed, "I'm sorry for being such an ingrate when you helped me. I shouldn't have been so cold towards you."

"Apology accepted. Let's just forget about that. The past is in the past." he replied, gazing at her stormy gray eyes. Damian observed that her eyes were clouded with mystery. He turned his head to look out the window and saw that the sky was dark. "It's getting late. Aren't your parents worried about you?"

Brynn just shrugged. "I don't know. I live with my aunt and most of the time, she doesn't even notice I exist. All she does is just go along with Slade Wilson," she whispered the last part so that Damian couldn't hear

"Then you should stay for dinner with us. Pennyworth is going to make his famous burgers."

"Yea, that sounds great. Thanks, Damian," Brynn smiled.

The two of them continued to work on their art project until Pennyworth rang the dinner bell. But during that time spent together, both Damian and Brynn learned to enjoy each other's presence.
