Shane was lost, yet she didn't want to admit it. She got transferred out of her English class because apparently her opinion on "To Kill A Mockingbird" being lame as f- was wrong. She groaned as she walked along the empty hallways wishing she could be anywhere else but here.

She looked back at her locator which clearly stated her new class should be in the East Wing : Room 34 and she's been roaming the east wing for twenty minutes and have not yet discovered a room with thirty-four on it.

"Skipping class isn't smart, Ms. Victoria!" A voice called out behind her. The sound of footsteps and heels clicking was growing, and she knew the person who spoke was in fact, Mrs. Thunder. The teacher who had thunder heels and a thunder voice.

"It's Shane, Mrs. Thunder." She replied, annoyed that adults still insisted on calling her with her birth name. She was also agitated at the fact that Mrs. Thunder was wearing bright red lipstick to match her red pantsuit and looking at her felt like looking at a ketchup bottle.

"Your parents named you Victoria, you should honor it. Now, why aren't you in class?" The annoying teacher asked, narrowing her eyes at the teenager who was plotting her ways of escape.

"I don't know my parents, so why should I honor it?" Shane asked, angry that the teacher would mention her family background when she knew what happened.

"Don't be rude, Ms. Valerie! And please learn how to dress for school. Your ensemble is simply ridiculous especially that ugly object on your neck. I demand you take it off immediately." Mrs. Thunders screeched, motioning to the necklace on the petite's girl's neck.

"It's a choker, ma'am. Now, if I were you, I would reflect on what I just said because the district clearly states that a student has a right to express him or herself however he or she may want as long as he or she was not violating and rules, but you? calling my 'ensemble' ridiculous? Isn't that a form of threat and it's causing me emotional distress which is certainly against the rules and the law." The girl smirked at the speechless adult who went from red to white in seconds.

"Where's room thirty-four, Mrs. Thunder?" She asked smirking at the pale teacher and satisfied that she won this battle.

Mrs. Thunder pointed the directions towards the west wing and quickly shuffled away, clearly wanting to get away from the diabolical teenager. Shane was proud. She silently thanked all the Criminal Minds episodes and a few Judge Judy shows that she's seen to be able to threaten enough people.

Once again, she trudged towards the halls, pissed that her classroom was actually located in the West Wing and headed towards the other direction.

Being the new student to a class was hard in the beginning of the year, yes, but being a transfer student to a class in the middle of the year with a reputation like Shane's is just plain difficult.

The teacher, Mr. Peterson who was probably more Asian than the entire population of China was "glad" to have a new student in his class and tried to break the ice with Shane and the class with a project, but it only caused the class to hate her more.

"Okay class! We do patner wook! Okay? Okay!" ((read it as it is because that's how Mr. Peterson talks)) Mr. Peterson explained briefly doing the A-okay sign with his hand.

Shane's partner was this boy who had red hair, and an eyebrow piercing. She knew who he was, she just didn't know who he was.

"Great, Michael Clifford." She cheered sarcastically sitting next to the male who looked like he contained the same amount of enthusiasm as her.

"Fantastic, Shane Davies." He replied, facing the girl who also had red hair and glared at her.

"You're a druggie who keeps leaving marks on the girl's bathroom." She pointed out, taking out her materials and opening the textbook.

"And you're the girl who murdered her parents." He said, also opening his book and chuckling quietly, "I can't believe I'm partners with a murderer."

"I can't believe I'm partners with an air head like you." Shane wanted to obliterate Michael for calling her a murderer, but then she would become one if she did.

Everyone in town treated her like this. To them, she was stone-cold blooded murder who killed her parents. To them, she was the girl that got released out of the asylum and has been to twelve different foster homes, but each hated her. To them, she was Victoria Kelmore, the devil.
