The hospital was the kind of blindingly bright white that made your eyes sting for a few minutes until they had time to adjust. The unmistakable smell of sickness and fear blended together, swirling up your nostrils and filling every nervous ounce of you with tension. You tapped your toe over and over again in a chorus of anxious trepidation.

Looking to your left, you noticed that Minji didn't seem worried at all. In fact, as she picked at the corners of her nails absentmindedly, you thought that she actually looked bored, like she was seriously more upset at the fact that she had to spend her precious time in a boring old hospital, rather than being worried about Jin's well being as she should have been.

When the elevator finally released you from your apprehensive prison with a loud DING, you sped out, not waiting for the other girl to catch up. Your eyes quickly scanned the halls, passing over room after room until you finally found the one you were looking for at the far end of the hallway.

Room 411.

The door was open and you saw that Namjoon and Yoongi were the only other ones in there, besides the handsome form currently resting in the bed in the center of the room. He had an IV hooked up to him and he looked peaceful, laying there with his eyes closed, his full mouth slightly ajar as he softly dozed on. You felt your heart swell as you stood there, silently watching him sleep. You had no idea what Minji had done to those eggs, but you couldn't help but feel partially responsible for his ending up in this condition.

Yoongi looked up from his phone, finally noticing you.

"Ya," he said quietly. He looked tired, possibly a little bored too, but that was normal for Yoongi, you noted, giving him a small smile in way of greeting as you reluctantly stepped into the room.

Namjoon stood from his chair abruptly. "Oh, hey," he said. "You're here. Where's Minji?"

"I don't know," you shrugged. "She's coming, I guess."

You heard Yoongi mumble, "Speak of the devil," not two seconds before Minji came striding into the small room, her overconfidence making it feel crowded and stuffy.

Minji walked over to Jin's bedside, taking his large hand into her tiny one and patting it awkwardly. She said something in Korean then that you couldn't make out but you were sure it translated to something insincere and false. She and the guys conversed for a few minutes, forgetting about your lack of understanding and so you took the opportunity to grab a chair and dragged it over to the other side of Jin's bed.

As you sat there, silently listening without comprehending much of anything, your mind swirled with thoughts. Nobody seemed as worried as you. Did that mean Jin was okay? What had happened to him? Were you going to take the blame? Would you lose your job over this?

Just when you thought your mind would surely burst from all the unanswered questions, you saw Jin's eyes flutter open, sending your heart fluttering right along with them. His long lashes blinked a few times before his eyes finally adjusted to the fluorescent lighting and landed on yours with a wink.

You heard yourself laugh before covering your mouth after realizing that you even had.

The others looked at you strangely, wondering what had caused your sudden outburst. You pointed at Jin, trying to inform them that he had indeed woken up, but when you looked, his eyes were firmly shut, pretending to be asleep. The stinker! You laughed again, hand still pointed at the prankster beside you, but the others must have been thinking that you were laughing at Jin being sick and their faces went dark.

Minji said something snotty in Korean and you saw Yoongi roll his eyes. Namjoon made a long face before turning to speak to you. "Y/N, are you okay? You must be hungry. Let me go grab you something from the vending machine. Is a Snickers okay?"
