Stargaze Pack

The Cabin

Asher woke with a start and looked across his room to see a sleeping Lucifer. Asher sighed and slid out of bed with a gentle thud.

"Need to stretch." Skie stated.

"Fine..." Asher took his time walking down the vast house staircase and out to the garden."Be discreet, please."

Asher let Skie take over and asher turned into a pure white wolf with crystal blue eyes.

"FREEDOM!!"

Asher internally sighed and let Skie have his morning run. Asher ran through the vast forest and sniffed out any dangers. The sky was a clear blue with only a few various clouds streaking across it. Asher moved through the forest as a snow white streak. Around him clicks sounded as squirrels talked to each other.

Then, Asher heard a twig snap behind him and an apple smell filled his nose. He whipped around to see a dark chocolate wolf standing by a blackberry bush. Asher instinctively growled at the newcomer.

The wolf seemed unfazed by Asher's pitiful growls and nonchalantly walked closer to Asher.

"Stand down, Asher." Asher heard Jackson's voice. Asher connected the pieces and relaxed his stiffened appearance. Jackson shifted into his human form and looked at Asher expectantly. Asher caught on and shifted into his human form.

"Sorry, 'bout that..." Asher said sheepishly. Jackson threw shorts to him and they both slipped them on.

"No need to apologize, I'm a new scent."

"Yeah.."

"Anyway, I'm here to hear your decision," Asher locked eyes with Jackson's grey eyes, "what will it be?"

Asher looked at a cardinal fly by and looked to Jackson, "I would like to join." At first Jackson just stared at Asher. Then, Jackson clasped his hand into Asher's.

"Great! We'll get started right now then. I'll give you a tour of our hideout!"

"Our?" Asher questioned.

"Yeah, there are multiple Elite Trackers. Only about eleven of us, but with you twelve. We don't usually have new recruits."

"Clearly.." Jackson chuckled and pulled Asher along.

They passed many homes and ended up in the middle of the forest at an enormous cabin. Jackson pointed to the massive house, "This is the Elite Tracker's Headquarters!"

Asher stared at it in awe as they entered it. "Why didn't I know about this?? Does Alpha know about this place? He's never mentioned it before..."

Jackson laughed and said, "Alpha does know about it, but he tends to not speak of it. If the wrong kind of person got that type of information, this place could be destroyed and our pack could become weak." Asher lets out a small growl at, 'Our pack could become weak.' Jackson glanced at Asher and agreed silently. 

"Come on, I'll introduce you to the trackers." Asher followed Jackson through a hallway and into a kitchen. The kitchen was a startling white with marble countertops. Around the center island stood ten people. Asher scratched the back of the his neck nervously. Jackson turned around to him and declared, "This is the Elite Trackers of Stargaze pack!"
