Plop Plop Plop. Asher hung upside down, his ankles held by tight, thick ropes. The rest of his body hung freely but his hands, tied behind his bloody back. Crimson blood dripped from his raven black hair, hands, and nose. The blood slowly traveled down his body. Asher's sparkling blue eyes were barely able to stay open. The place he was in was dark and gloomy, and as cold as ice. He shivered as another chill shot through him like a bullet. He groaned in discomfort as his body ached and shivered. His body heaved as he threw up blood and what was left of his empty stomach. He had been in this dark, cold place for what felt like months. The never ending pain and discomfort. Clank Clank Clank. His eyes flickered open when he heard the familiar sound of boots coming down, or up stairs. He didn't know, he hadn't moved from his position since he got here. He can't remember a thing, but his name.

A door clanked open and a familiar, daunting voice spoke,

"Asher! Awake yet again, I was hoping you would be awake. I have new orders today." Asher groaned and a tear slid down his bruised and bloody face. It plopped into the pool of blood already below him. A rough finger caressed Asher's cheek.

"Oh, don't cry... I haven't even told you what today is going to be like." There was a slight grin in his voice. Asher closed his eyes and groaned.

"Today, it has been decided that you will be removed from the basement." Asher's eyes flashed open with surprise and hope.

"But, only if you're a good boy. I don't want anymore crying. It looks horrible on you. Crying. Ugh, it's useless." Asher shook his head yes in agreement, he wanted out of this place.

"I thought you'd like this idea! Lucifer will be pleased." Asher looked confused and he struggled against the ropes holding him.

"Oh, no, no, no.... my dear Asher, fighting is useless... I thought we established this weeks ago." The man before Asher looked disappointed. The man was wearing a black suit like he was working. His eyes were green and evil. His body was built well, ready to beat someone up at any moment.

"P-please..." Asher rasped.

"You know begging is useless too, everything you do will be useless to stop me." The man grinned like a devil at his own words.  "Now, don't struggle so I can get you down." Asher groaned as the man began untying the ropes at his sore ankles. "Damn it. Guess I'm gonna have to do this another way.." at that the man pulled out a knife and cut the ropes. Asher fell to the ground on his head. He lay there on his stomach in pain as the man cut the rest of the ropes from his ankles. Asher's vision blurred, his head bleeding from impact. The dark spots in his vision became bigger until all he saw was black. He had passed out, his all too familiar way out from the pain.
