The Beginning

"So what's going on with you" asked Reed. Reed is my best friend I don't know what I would do without him.

"N..n..nothing really I don't think I did good on the science test but that's ok because I have a A in that class anyways, so what's going on with you?"
I said, I can't believe I can't even answer a easy question without rambling. Even since I found out about my abilities I have been scared about not being able to control them.

"You just asked me that a few minutes ago. Is something wrong, Tate you know you can talk to me." As Reed said that he stopped walking and looked me straight in the eyes.

"Everything is fine just...uh..just worried about that test I guess." Jesus I just saved my ass.

"Ok if you say so, just know you can talk to me." Reed said he looked confused but I guess he didn't want to pry.

As we turned the corner of the street we saw the restaurant that we were meeting up with Ava and Josalyn at. I was worried that it would have been awkward for Reed since he and Josalyn just broke up but they both said it'd be fine.

After like ten minutes the girls showed up. And Jesus they were definitely worth the wait. Ava and Josalyn looked amazing, I wasn't to interested in Josalyn though. We are good friends, but me and Ava have been great friends since kindergarten and there always has been a spark between us but nothing has happened since she has been on and off with her boyfriend.

"Wow you two look great." Reed said, it wasn't anything flirty Reed was just a really nice guy.

"Thank you, Tate I love the color of your button up. The navy blue and the pink make your eyes look really pretty." Ava said as she stared into my eyes and smiled. I smiled back and we both stared blushing but not enough for the other two to notice.

As we were smiling the door opened and in walked the guy I hated the most.
