After we all got our stuff together we started to head out before I realized Tyler and Ava slipped off, I can't blame them for wanting to talk alone it's been about a week since they last saw each other and now they have powers. They reappeared after about ten minutes and they walked into the room separately Tyler walked in then after about two minutes Ava walked in and her eyes were really red, it looked like she was crying.
"Hey what's wrong?" I asked her as she walked up to me.
"Tyler just broke up with me, but I'm fine." She said as she choked out a laugh.
"Are you sure?" I asked not wanting to pry even though it was against my nature.
"Just super, fantastic actually!" She choked out as she put on a fake smile. I knew it was bothering her but I don't really want to pry and make her upset. So I just nodded along and got my stuff and lead everyone out to start our trek. We all started walking in silence until we reached the ravine.
"Tate? You there?" Josalyn asked.
"Yeah, yeah sorry I just zoned out." I said as I pulled everyone into a group hug so I could teleport us all across the ravine, it was difficult teleporting that many people at one time but I just needed to focus. "There lets get going." I said as we all started walking again. Once we reached the river we followed Reed's plan of Jos making a rock bridge for her and Ava and us boy flying over. We continued on with little conversations here and there but we didn't talk much because we were all anxious about the fight coming our way, we didn't know what was going to happen to us, the city, or our lives, we all thought we were prepared to throw ourselves in front of whatever was coming even if it meant saying goodbye forever, but only one of us truly was ready.
