“Welcome, master Jay,” he voiced.
“Hey Ed,” Jay praised. “Oh yeah, this is Edward our family butler, amongst others,” Jay explained to me. I nodded and smiled at Ed wondering how many other butlers he had. I hadn’t really realized how rich he was until I stepped into his expensive abode. Facing the house from the entrance you could see a white marble, mystical staircase winding up to the sun-lit roof. To the right of the staircase was a statue of a muscular man standing proud, like he was the impressive owner of this mansion. It divided two passageways, leading into different quarters around it. To the left stood two tall columns, against the wall, both a pale blue marble directing you toward a living room, dining room, and kitchen. Beyond all of what stood glaring down at me, I saw two tall glass doors with see-through light pink curtains draping the exit towards the backyard. I could make out a widely spread field with patches of flowers and willow and oak trees and saw a fountain in the midst of one of the floral patches. It guided you to a marble tiled guesthouse the size of my house with an infinity pool glimmering in the afternoon sun.
“Come on, I wanna show you my room,” he declared, pulling my arm up the stairs, as I remained gawking at his magnificent house. We walked into a room that had colors themed to outer space with starry walls that had galaxies and planets neatly spread across his lofty ceiling. His bed was positioned parallel to his long window almost covering the length of his wall. I went over to lie on his silky smooth bed covers, drowning in the milky texture as I let out a heavy sigh.
“Can I please move in with you?” I joked.
“I think that’s going a bit fast isn’t it?” he chuckled.
“Too soon?” I added as I stood up from his dreamy bed. I looked around noticed about five different bookshelves and cabinets scattered around a flat screen TV set. “What do you want to do now?”
“Well, we could work on homework, but I have something else in mind. Come with me,” he insisted. He intertwined his fingers with mine and all was good in the world as he lead me through the mazes in his house. Once we were in his backyard he led me to his pool as I looked down into my reflection, the water calmly lying in its bed.
“What did you want to show me?” I pressed.
“Nothing really to show,” he claimed, “but what we must do.” And before I knew it I was engulfed in the shimmering depths of water.
