Jay was lucky he pushed somebody into the pool that knew how to swim, but he was still getting his butt whooped. I swam up for a breath and gasped breaking the shivering salt water.
“JAY, DON’T JUST STAND THERE SMIRKING!” I hollered. “Jump in after me!” He pulled off his shirt and threw off his shoes to reveal his sexy toned abs. I was up in cloud nine in that moment and was never coming back down to Earth. He curled up into a cannonball position midair and plummeted into the water as a wave cascaded over my head. I swam up behind him and yanked his hair trying to pull him back underwater.
“HEY!” he yelled, “Not my precious locks of glory!”
“What do you think you might look like bald?” I larked.
“Not as good as you’re going to look bald!” he grunted pulling back my hair as I tightly gripped my fists around his arm. He let go of my hair at last and held my waist as he held me above water and in the air, like the baboon held the baby cub in a scene from The Lion King. Finally he slowly set me back in the water as we gazed into each other’s eyes. My heart was about to leap out of my chest and into the water from beating so hard and fast. I felt the lub-dub sound fill my ears and take over all of my senses as I stood there paralyzed in front of Jay.
He leaned toward me, his breath quick and hot against my skin as he pressed his lips into mine, setting the world on fire. I felt everything at once and forgot how to breathe and think and see. I saw fireworks and felt frostbite crawling up from my toes as lava burned the flesh in my face. I thanked God for setting this divine boy by my side as we held onto each other’s waists.
At last he took his lips away from my grasp and gracefully kissed my cheek leading to my neck and collarbone and back again. I held his face in my shivering arms and kissed him once again feeling everything rush back to me. When we broke away from each other I fell into the deep abyss in his eyes and wrapped him up into a hug as he lifted me back up into the air. But this time he threw me away from him and then swam back to me, seeming to miss me. I hauled him underwater, plunging him farther until I went down to meet him for a kiss. I reached for the surface and took a large gasp of air and waited for him to come up. Instead I noticed him swimming toward the stairs, dripping from the pool as he walked to a towel rack. I followed him out and dried myself with their fancy embroidered towels.
