I pressed the barrel of my gun onto the man's nape and he immediately tensed up. We just heard him talking to someone on the radio, mentioning a woman with a sword and a kid with a hat. My hopes immediately gotten up even if I don't want to.
Michonne and Carl are alive.
Carl's alive, at the Terminus. He's alive.
"Keep your finger off the button and drop it." My mother tells the man, who obeys her quickly. The woman on the radio keeps talking, but nobody picks the radio up.
"Listen, y'all don't have to do this." The man tells us. "Whatever you want, we got a place where everyone's welcome."
That's a load of bullshit. "Shut up."
The man nods his head. "Okay."
"We're friends of the chick with a sword and the kid in the hat." My heart's beating fast but I keep myself composed. Carl's alive. I have to see him, I have to save him.
"Get him inside." My mom tells me and Tyreese.
I grabbed the man's shoulder, my gun still pressed against his head. "Get up."
He looked confused when he saw me holding the gun against him, but I just pushed him so he can started walking. He walks inside the shack, stumbling in the process, before my mom ties him up and I keep my gun pointed at him.
"I'm going to Terminus, to find them." My mom announced as she starts putting some stuff in her bag.
"I'm coming with you." I said but she shook her head. "I'm not asking to come with you, I'm going."
She shook her head still and I scoffed, before walking away from her and standing close to Tyreese and Judith.
"What happened to them?" Tyreese asked the man.
The latter sits on the floor and leans his back against the wall. "They just attacked us. We're just holding them."
"I don't believe you." My mom said and I agree with her.
"Who else do you know? Do you know their names?" Tyreese asked and I know he's trying to find out if Sasha's there.
"We just have the boy and the samurai, that's it." The man answers him and Ty's face fell. I feel bad for him but I don't show it. "We were just protecting ourselves."
"I don't believe you."
Why would Michonne and Carl attack them for no reason? I know Michonne and I know Carl, they're both not stupid. They won't attack without a reason.
"There's a bunch of us out there in six different directions." The man informs us. "There was a lot of gunfire back home. We need to set off all of our charges all at the same time, to confused the dead ones away." He looks at my mom. "That's good for you, too."
My mom shook her head. "No, it isn't. There's a herd heading toward Terminus right now. We don't want to confuse them away. We're gonna need their help."
"It's a compound. They'll see you coming." The man tells my mother while still chewing that goddamn gum. "If you even make it that far with all the cold bodies heading over."
My mom's smart, she's got this. But she should've let me come with her. We can take them on as a team, we have more chance.
My mom ignored the man and was about to leave, when Tyreese stopped her. "Carol. How are you gonna this?"
"I'm gonna kill people." And after that, she left and Tyreese closed the door.
I found a container big enough for Judith, so I grabbed it, placed some blankets over it, before placing it on the floor. Tyreese sets the baby down as I watch the man closely. He makes a stupid move, I'll shoot and I won't hesitate.
"She got a name?" He asked me but I don't answer him. "Hey, she got a name?"
"Judith." I answered.
"She your sister?" The man asked me and I shook my head. He turns to Tyreese. "You. She your daughter or something?"
"She's a friend." Ty answers without looking at him.
"Huh." The man said. "I don't have any friends. I mean, I know people. They're just assholes I stay alive with." Tyreese then looks at him. "The other one your friend? The woman?"
Tyreese looks away and doesn't answer. Last night, my mom admitted to him that she killed Karen and David. I thought Ty was going to shoot my mom, she was accepting her faith, but he didn't hurt her. There's some tension in the air, yes, but Tyreese doesn't seem to be angry.
"I used to have 'em." The man chuckles. "Used to watch football on Sundays. Went to church, I know I did. But I can't picture it anymore."
I went to church before too, but that was a long time ago that I almost forgot it, until now.
"It's funny how you don't notice the time go by." The man speaks again. "Horrible shit just stacks up day after day. You get used to it."
Tyreese looks up at him. "I haven't got used to it."
The man started talking again and it was annoying me, so I walked towards the window and just look around.
My patience is growing thin as the anticipation and excitement of seeing Carl again grows. I wonder if Daryl's there, or Rick, or Glenn, Maggie and everyone else.
All I wanna do is see Carl again and hug him tight.
