7 - BETH

Michonne and I came back after our little heart to heart earlier. I feel better now, thanks to her. She's a great listener and a good advicer. Maybe I should have talked to Michonne before, let out all my problems and have her help me get through it.

We went inside the room and saw Carl picking Judith up. Once he saw us, he smiled.

"Hey," he tells me directly before Michonne takes Judith from him. "Everything alright?"

I nod, glancing at Michonne before looking back at Carl. "Yeah."

I stepped forward and pulled Carl into a hug. He seemed surprised for a second, but hugged back. Michonne rolled her eyes at us playfully and I do the same to her.

Once we pulled away, I noticed something odd. "Where's Gabriel?"

"He's in his office, I think." Carl answers and I nod.

Rick, Tyreese, Daryl, Noah and Sasha all went out to get my mom and Beth back. We barricaded the church before they left.

Carl asked me if I could help him barricade the doors and I nod. We carried a long piece of wood and placed it horizontally against the doors. Carl grabbed a nail and started hammering it through the wood using the butt of his gun. I hold the wood still, until Carl is done and works on the other side.

Once the doors were sealed and good, Carl and I walked back to where Michonne is.

"Please!" I heard Gabriel's voice from outside and my eyebrows furrowed. "Let me in!"

The sound of numerous snarls and growls were also heard from outside, making me cuss underneath my breath.

"I thought he was in his office?" I asked the two before Carl and I ran to the doors.

"Farren!" I looked back and saw Michonne running towards me. She hands me Judith and I took the baby from her hands.

She grabbed an axe from the ground and started bashing the wood, she kept on doing that until the wood if removed from the doors.

"Come on!" Carl yells as he opened the door and Gabriel runs inside.

"Carl, go!" I yelled to Carl as walkers started piling inside.

"The rectory, come on." Gabriel says from beside me before we ran inside the rectory.

When we got inside, Michonne and Gabriel immediately tried to close the door and put a chair against it. Carl still has his gun aimed, just in case, while I'm still carrying Judith.

"That's how I got out." Gabriel nods to the floor and I saw that an area of the flooring was removed. "Crawl under to the back. Just go. Take the little one and go."

Without hesitance, I carefully but quickly went through the hole and started to crawl, which was hard since I'm carrying Judith. I waited for them and saw Carl got out, before he starts crawling to me. When Michonne got out too, she told us to go.

We crawled out and waited to Gabriel to come out. He has a machete with him. "I can't run anymore."

"We're not running." Michonne told him.

We ran back to the front and I stayed put with Gabriel as Carl and Michonne closed the church doors and barricaded it, so that walkers can't get out.

Carl and Michonne walked back to us and Carl takes Judith from me. He placed a kiss on my forehead before checking on Judith.

"Where did you go?" I turned to Michonne and Gabriel.

"The school." The latter answers before looking at her. "I had to see. I had to know."
