So right now I'm on holiday in Lanzarote and obviously it's way warmer than what I'm used to in the cold and dreary UK. This made me think about summer and the sun.
So as many of you will know the UK is defiantly not prepared for warm temperatures. There's no AC anywhere and pools are strictly indoors and heated. This means hot summers are the equivalent of hell to all us pale-ass bitches. Every year as soon as the sun creeps out of hibernation there is panic in the streets. Everyone rushing for the paddling pool.
School was even worse. Have you ever tried learning or doing mocks in a million degrees? WITH NO AIR CON?!?! Yeah summer's the worst time for learning. Most teaches are like "oh it's not that hot you can still do this really hard and taxing work even if you are sweating buckets!" They really don't care!!!
Another problem I have is that my body refuses to tan and is just like "time to die from burns!" It's kinda a problem that I burn so easily and it kills worse than anything. Say right now I went out to get food in shorts and a T-shirt (after a shower so without suncream) and came back red af. To say I was pissed was an understatement!
I don't know about you guys but I'm not an outdoorsie person. Like I love the outdoors but I don't go out there for fun more as an outing. But lemme tell ya! Parents in summer all of a sudden are screaming at you to go out and play. Um no, I don't want to get heat stroke I would much rather sit indoors with a fan and ice thank you very much! I don't know what it is about summer that sparks this but can it please stop?!?!
And I know there will be people from to ovens of the world screaming at me but c'mon I can complain bc I hate sunlight!!!!!
