Touring gives Vic so much adrenaline. Well, to be more specific, touring with Kellin does. He loves being around Kellin.
Which isn't very helpful for him, as he can't take Kellin on every single tour, as much as the fans would enjoy that. And he can't tag along on every Sleeping With Sirens tour. He'd never get any sleep.
So he's trying not to take this one tour for granted, because he knows it's only going to last another month or two, and then they're going to split up again. And they'll be back to occasional twitter mentions, and basically forgetting the other exists.
But it's so easy to get used to it. And it's starting to noticeably effect Vic.
Last week, during King For A Day, Kellin nearly tripped over a wire on the stage, a completely tiny insignificant thing that neither one should be worrying about, but it caused Vic's anxiety to grow into this restless monster thing, and it still hasn't shrunk back down.
He's become kind of overly protective of Kellin now, and he's acting like he's his fucking mother, but hey, someone has to make sure Kellin doesn't get run over by a bus anytime soon.
"I'm gonna head to a restaurant across the street real quick before the show starts, I'm hungry-"
"Isn't that place really shady-looking? Shit, dude, just stay here. We got food in the tour bus."
Maybe Vic was being a little selfish. In that he sort of didn't want to let Kellin out of his sight, because being around the guy made him a little happier than it should.
Which was a little scary, but it's not a problem. Once the show starts there will be energy rampant in the air, and his nerves will be calmed. He'll just get to have fun with Kellin Quinn, one of his favorite people in the world.
Okay this is really concerning. Fuck.

While Sleeping With Sirens is doing their set, Vic is pacing back and forth backstage. They're only halfway through "Kick Me", the first song on the setlist.
"Fuck you and your decision." Kellin holds up a middle finger to the crowd and grins. "'Cause it's not mine."
The sound is slightly muted through the walls, but Vic can still pick up every word and every shout from the fans. He's lost in his own thoughts when he accidentally collides with his younger brother.
"Oh, hey Mike." Vic straightens up. "You ready to go tonight?"
A nod. "Are you? You haven't seemed like yourself lately." Mike raises his eyebrows. "What's up with that?"
"I'm fine." Honestly, Vic is better than usual. Most of which is thanks to breathing the same air as Kellin for the last month. But the source of his happiness isn't something Mike needs to know.
"You sure? Seem a little anxious."
"Oh, yeah." Vic says. "It's nothing."
Nothing. A fancy code word for "this guy I kind of have a borderline obsession with has a wife and daughter, and for some reason that makes me jealous".

An hour later, the show is nearly over, and they're gearing up to perform King For A Day. Both Kellin and Vic are soaked with sweat and exhausted, and Kellin gives the other a fist bump and an encouraging smile, which doesn't calm Vic's nerves at all.
But they soon get caught up in the heavy instrumentals and the screaming crowd, and the song progresses along well.
"Imagine living like a king someday," Vic strains his voice, desperate to stay strong. "A single night without a ghost in the walls."
Kellin comes in. "And if the bass shakes the earth underground-" He leans into Vic, smirking at the shorter boy, before stepping towards the crowd. "We'll start a new revolution now!"
There goes Vic's ability to breathe.
He takes in a sharp breath and smirks back at Kellin. Fuck it, they can both play this game.
"Hail Mary, forgive me." Vic softly sings into his mic. "Blood for blood, heart's beating." With each word he takes a tiny step towards Kellin. "Come at me." He's almost in front of him now. "Now this is war!"
He pushes into Kellin and forces the microphone between both of their mouths. They both yell, eyes locked on each other, "Fuck with this new beat!"
When he pulls the mic away, Vic hesitates for a split second, his eyes on Kellin's lips. He turns back to the crowd while Kellin's eyes track him, confused.

As soon as they get backstage, Kellin pushes Vic against the wall.
"Kells, what the fuc-"
"Shush," He hisses, before the rest of the guys can hear them. "Vic- I have a fucking wife- I- fuck-"
Vic plays dumb. "Yeah. What does that have to do with me?" He says, as if he hasn't wished he was Katelynn a thousand times.
"You know what I'm fucking talking about-" Kellin seems to make a decision. "If you don't tell her, I won't either." Kellin whispers the last part before sinking his lips into Vic's.
The other members of their bands are probably wondering where they hell they are, but at this moment, they don't have time to worry about that. Vic's hands slide up Kellin's shirt, and they're both sweaty and hot, but Kellin lets him.
He also lets Vic pull his shirt off completely and toss it on the linoleum flooring.
They eventually break apart and Vic mumbles, leaning against Kellin's chest, "What am I now, your side hoe?"
"No." Kellin smiles, and it's not a smirk like earlier. A genuine one. "You're the Audrey Hepburn to my James Dean."
