Chapter 31: Grieving Period

I dropped the phone and fell to the floor crying.

"Lisa what's wrong"

"my...my...m-mom d-d-died" I crying more

Isela didn't say anything she just went to me and cried with me.

"Can you please take me to the Curtis house" I said between sobs .

"Sure come on" she said helping me up.

"I'll drive you guys" her mom offered.

"Thanks" we both said.

We hopped in her car and we drove.i was still crying a lot. I just couldn't stop crying. I mean how could I my mom just died. So many questions rushed in my head. How did she die? Where did she die? Did she die instantly or at the hospital?

Before I knew it we were at the Curtis house. I got off and waited for Isela.

"Come on lets go" I said tears coming down my cheek.

"I'm coming" she said getting of the car

We went inside and everyone was there. Once we stepped inside everyone gave me a hug and told me it was ok. But it wasn't going go be ok. As soon as they were all done giving me hugs I sat on the couch and dally came to me and sat next to me and put his arms around me and I cried into him chest. I couldn't believe what happened lots of thoughts were going through my head. I couldn't think straight. I was getting light headed and I was seeing blurry. So I got up because j was gonna splash some water on my face but when I got up I got so Dizzy and then everything turned black.

Isela p.o.v

"Omg Lisa" I said as Dally caught her before she hit the floor. I can't believe she fainted. Carry took and carried her to his room where he was trying to wake her up.

"Hey can I talk to you outside" Dally said!!

"Ya sure" I said

We walked out onto the porch. I bet he's gonna asked me outtt!

"Did Lisa tell you already?" I got confused.

"Tell me what?"

"I guess I'll tell you, me and Lisa are going out"

"Oh" I was disappointed I thought he liked me. I felt a tear go down my cheek.

"Listen I know you liked me but I don't feel the same ya know"

"Ya I understand"

"ok well ima go back inside and oh yaa I know someone who likes you." He said standing in the door way. I went to where he was.

"Who" I said looking in the full of boys.

He point his head towards Johnny.

"Johnny?"

"Yup" he said walking the house.

I never really looked at johnny but now that I see him he's pretty cute. I went to go sit next to him.

"Hey" I said shyly

"Hey " he said looking at me.

Lisa's p.o.v

When I opened my eyes. I realized I was on Darry's room. I sat up on the bed and swung my feet to the side of the bed. Before walking I stood up and tried to feel less dizzing before walking out. When I walked out they all looked and me. I went to go sit on the couch next to Dally.

"Are you ok Lisa" Isela asked

I just nodded.

Then there was a knock on the door. Both Soda and Pony went to go answer it. Two girls came in.

"Guys this is Nancy my girlfriend" he said not trying to look at me. Ugh how dare him.i was so mad at him for what he did. But yet again it made me realized that I didn't like him. We all said hi to her.

"This is Yisela" pony said giving her a kiss on the cheek. Agian we all said hi

"So are two like sister's or something" Two- bit asked

"Actually we are" Nancy said.

Dally put his arm around me and put my face into his chest and cried a little.

"It's gonna be ok Lisa" he said whispering in my ear.

But then a new thought came to my head. Who's gonna take me. I don't wanna go to no girls home. Just of the thought made me cry more.

After awhile the girls went home and Steve and Two went home and Johnny went to go walk Isela home.

"Darry can I talk to you"

"Ya sure"

"Who told you my mom was dead"

"the cops called me"

"Did they say anything about me being put into a girls home"

"Uh...yes they did put I told if I could take custody of you you and they said I could that I just need to go fill out some papers and if you want ill do that tomorrow after work"

"Oh yes please Darry" I said giving him a hug

"Ok then I Will"

I went back to dally and told him the news

"Really that's great"

" ya" I started think about my mom again and I could help but cry more. Everything I thought of her Sadness over took me.

"I'm going to sleep now"

"You can take the spare room there's a bed in there"

"Thanks" I said and went to the room

I layed on the bed and cried until I went to sleep.
