"Mooom!" I shout going inside my house with Lumi in my hands. Edie is right behind me with Lumi's stuff.
"Moom! Are you home?" I shout again looking around. She was usually home this time. Maybe she went grocery shopping.
"Put them in my room" I say to Edie.
We go to my bedroom and I put Lumi in her bed. She starts squealing the moment we leave.
"Okay fine. I'll move your bed downstars" I say to her as she starts wiggling her tail more.
"Is your mom going to be alright about Lumi?" Edie asks, concerned while sipping a juice in the kitchen.
"Yeah, I'm sure she won't mind" I say, dragging the bed with Lumi into the room.
We've talked about getting a dog for a while now. The doctor said it could help her alcohol problem. She started going on alcohol rehabilitation a year ago when my grandpa and grandma died and when she put herself to sleep with alcohol every day. She really loved them.
My dad couldn't care less. He divorced her and moved in with his new wife. At least sends us money though. He stopped being my father after leaving mom because "he couldn't stand her whining all the time". He's a heartless jerk. I don't know what she sees in him. She still thinks he'll come back.
"Should we just skip school today?" she asks, looking at the clock.
"Hmmm... Sure. I don't even want to go after Saturday." I sigh.
We were allowed to skip three times each semester and this time was my last time. At least I hope so. We're in our fourth and last year of high school. Thank god.
I honestly can't wait to go to college. I'll meet new people and have more fun and freedom than in high school.
"Hey Abby, It's me" I call her to tell that we won't go.
"Hey, It's good you called. I have BIG news" she says, a little too enthusiastically.
"What what news" I ask, confused. Edie mouths for me to put her on speaker and that's what I do.
"Well It's a long story but I'll try to make it as short as possible. At the party two days ago..."
Of course it was at the party...

"Hey, what's up?" Abbie says to Elliot who's sitting on the bar. She has a crush on him. It started when she first saw him in freshman year. But she's been trying to get close to him since recently. She grew some balls and started having more and more conversations with him even though she gets rejected most of the time.
"Hey" he greets her, sounding uninterested.
She tries to keep the conversation going "How was your day?"
"Good" he keeps handing her one-word responses, looking at his drink.
"So, what brought you here?" she keeps trying.
"My friends" he says, twirling his drink in his hand.

A two-word response, progress has been made.

"My friends brought me here too. I didn't want to tho. I suppose you didn't too
"I did" he says and heads toward the bathroom leaving Abbie all alone.

"And then what?" I ask, anticipating the story.
"What happened???" Edie shouts, curious. Abby knows how to make you excited about a story.
"Then... I did what I had to..." she sighed.

"Hey! Elliot! Wait up" she shouted getting his attention.
He turns around and sees Abby running towards him. As she's running some guy walks right in front of her making her trip on him right towards Elliot. Unfortunately, he doesn't catch her and she falls flat on her stomach.
Elliot just stares at her and leaves, being unbothered.

     "That motherfucker" I exclaim.
"Why didn't he at least pick you up??? Like??? That's the most decent thing he could've done???" Edie asks in disbelief.
How could he do that? Why?
"I honestly have no idea. But since the party I'm definitely over him." she says.
We aren't so keen on her liking him so this was a relieve for us. As you can see, he's not a decent human being.
"Oh and Blair, thanks" she says.
     "For what?" I ask, confused.
"For slapping him. I really appreciate that"
"Ohhhh, so that's why you slapped him" Edie exclaims, nodding.
"Ah, yes. I forgot. No problem" I put on a fake smile. Waiting for my demise tomorrow at school, yay.
