"Okay, ladies. It's Friday. Which party do we go to?" Edie wraps an arm around mine and Abby's shoulders while walking in the school's hallway.
"Anywhere where I can't see people from school. I really just want to get some rest from them" Abby says.
"That's going to be tough. There are a lot of people at our school. At least one of them is going to be at the party we'll go to" Edie chuckles.
"Yeah, but at least can they be the ones I barely know?" Abby whines.
"What about you Blair? Why are you so quiet?" Edie asks, furrowing her eyebrows.
"I don't know guys. I'm not feeling well today. I might not go" I scrunch up my face. I really don't want to go.  I don't know what's happening to me but I'd rather spend my Friday night at home with Lumi than going to a party. Probably because I have traumas from the last one.
     "What? Why?" Abby asks.
"What's going on? Is anything wrong at home or?" Edie pipes in.
"No, no, it's not that. I'm just..." I sigh "not in the mood for parties. I don't know" I raise my shoulders.
"Okay then" Edie presses her lips together in a little smile.
"But you have to come! It will be boring without you" Abby whines as she sits in her seat.
"I can't Abby." I insisted, sitting next to her.
"Come on! It'll be fun. What are you going to do all night?" she grabs my arm and starts to squeeze it.
I sigh "Promise me you won't ditch us to chase after Elliot like you did last time and you'll have fun with us?"
"Yes! Yes! I promise" she grins and lets go of my hand.
"Okay, so, which party?" Edie asks.
"How about Maddie's?" Abby suggests. "Her parents are out of town"
"Sure, why not" I sigh. I just want to get this over with.
"Didn't you say you don't want to meet people from school?" Eddie pointed out.
"Yeah...well... whatever. As long as you two are coming, I'm good" Abby mumbled.
     "Okay, so we're all set."

"Everyone is here. Like the whole town. I swear to god" I look around. There are people even in the front yard, not being able to get in. They don't seem like they're from our school tho.
     "Yeah" Edie chuckles.
"The more the merrier, right?" Abby pipes in with her chirpy voice.
     "Sure" I sigh walking forward.
Why did I agree to this?

"And you are?" a bulky man standing in front of the door asks us. He looks kind of intimidating so I let Edie speak to him.
"We're Maddie's school friends" she says.
"Just a moment" the man says. He turns around and shouts something in Russian. In a few minutes, Maddie shows up.
"Oh, Edie! You made it" she squeals and hugs her.
Abby and I look at each other weirdly and then back at Maddie hugging Edie.
"Is there something we missed or?" I whisper to Abby.
"There definitely is" she whispers back.
"Are these your friends?" Maddie nudges her head towards us. I honestly never met this girl. I have no idea how she knows Edie. I only know her from the story Edie told me about and I can't stop thinking about that now.
"Yeah, this is Blair" Edie points to me.
"Nice to meet you" I politely say, smiling from ear to ear. Maddie returns the smile. She seems nice so far. I try not to start laughing from the story. I keep imagining her being caught by her parents.
"This is Abby" Edie points to her.
"Nice to meet you" Abby smiles too. I guess she doesn't know about the story or she's really good at pretending it didn't happen.
"Come in, come in" she makes way for us to walk in.
This seems like a chill party. Not a lot of people are here but all of them are from our school.

A couple of hours later and I take back my word. It's not chill at all. The troublemakers came and now it's basically a rave. Great. Just what I need.
"Hey guys, I need to go to the bathroom quickly" Abby shouts over the music. Edie and I nod our head in acknowledgment. I just hope she doesn't walk in on someone doing the dirty in there.
"Hey Edie, come meet my friends" Maddie shows up out of nowhere and drags Edie away.
I walk around to see where Abby went but she isn't in the bathroom anymore. Great, I'm left all alone. I'm going to kill these two when I find them.
I make my way through a crowded house into the kitchen to relax a little.
I see a cocktail on the counter and pour myself a little.
All of these people are having fun. I used to have fun like that too. What happened to me?
Trying to drown my thoughts, I pour myself some more cocktail. It tastes sweet. I can't even taste the alcohol in it. The glasses keep coming, the mood keeps rising. I'm starting to feel better. Now I know why I went to parties. To have fun.
