Haaaa you're all gonna hate this guy. Not a starter, but just an explanation.
Jim barely paid attention to the toddler. He was stupidly busy that day, when his daughter had left Eurus Jr, his granddaughter, in his hands to take care of.
He was on his desk, typing away rapidly with his left hand, while tracing the words on the book beside him with his right hand. He was stressed, for once. When the familiar screen showed up on his laptop after he'd typed in a tediously long code, he smiled at it.
Suddenly, a piercing scream was heard, then slowly dampened out.
He lifted a confused brow, and went to find that the toddler was missing. Sure enough, she's managed to fall out of the window of his 49th floor.
Tragic.
It was his daughter's stupid idea to allow him to 'take care' of her child, after all. He went back to his work.
